About Void Slayer
Void Slayer is a unique arena shooter where each hit taken will claim some of your fighting space. Avoid it with the help of double jump and dash. Dispose of your enemies by using two different attacks - one for each hand. Keep your eye on nightmarish obelisk structures - they serve as passageway for your foes. Destroying them will not only close the portal, but also reward you with powerful gems which will upgrade your attacks. Survive as long as you can and compare your scores with other players - find out, who is the true Void Slayer
Nameless Gods stripped you of your mortality. Your unyielding soul was cast into the void, and only thanks to your immense will, you suspended yourself above it. But the fight has only begun. The gameplay loop is decent enough, the biggest let down is the lack of a soundtrack I'd say. But if you play it with your fav game OSTs its actually pretty good.1 found this helpful
Meh, not really fun and the movement and combat feels clunky.
Not a bad game, but it really feels like its lacking tangibility. Shooting, movement, and taking damage all just don't seem to affect you. It feels like you're just floating through the area with noclip turned on. The choice to make the primary attack a 'click and hold beam' particularly hurts the weightiness of interacting with the shooting mechanics. I'm not sure how else to describe it, but it feels a game with a couple cool ideas that only just needs a bit more polish to feel like a full game, and not just an unreal engine default fps template character with a cooler skin thrown into an arena. It's really hard to downrate this when the game is barely $1.50 on sale, but I think I'd still not recommend this to my friends, even if it was free, when Devil Daggers is such a more fulfilling way to spend time.
'Devil Daggers' but with less visual flair & an annoying extra mechanic of having holes to fall down, which doesn't really add anything to the game, just makes it more annoying.
A fun arena-shooter with some interesting mechanics!
This is very good. At first I was a bit reluctant about this game because it is quite weird, and it also feels a little bit clunky in some ways. However, if you like games such as Devil Daggers, this is a MUST HAVE. It plays vastly different than devil daggers in some ways. The arena ITSELF is your HP. You dont just die when hit like in DD. And you can restore tiles in the arena by hitting a certain powerup in the middle of the map that spawns when you killed enough enemies. You can also dash onto the spawner towers and smash them up close to destroy them instead of just shooting them like in DD. Lasers also spawn on the arena, you better destroy them fast and not get hit by them. Overall this game is so special and unique that it deserves a price for sheer originality. You really have to play it yourself to see. The only downside I have with the game is that the movement feels a bit clunky and awkward, but it is something that you can get used to.
