I wasn't sure what to expect, but this ended up being a really fun game. The mix of mining, upgrading, and defending your spider keeps things interesting, and I always wanted to see what was waiting a little deeper.13 found this helpful
This is a fun game. There is a good gameplay loop of 1) mine as deep as you can to gather resources, 2) hurry back to the surface and fight an enemy wave (which appears when an indicator bar reaches full) with your best weapons, 3) upgrade your weapons / mining equipment using the gathered resources. There are other complications including the recurring main boss and extra enemy waves which occur when passing through a [spoiler]cloud layer[/spoiler]. It should be noted that it is nearly impossible to beat the main boss during your first run because you will need to buy permanent upgrades to your spider vehicle after each run. Also you will need to locate [spoiler]all 5 of the encryption keys[/spoiler]. If you feel like the game is too difficult at first, I would recommend that you read some guides, practice using the permanent upgrades that let you ascend / descend quickly, and try out different weapons or upgrade paths during each run.

Pretty addictive.Gets repetive but each new run brings a new challenge,that's fun
Storyline: It feels original and fresh and, is very good all the way through. Gameplay: Feels very nice and isnt all to difficult. Some weapons/perks are league above the rest. The upgrade dont feel slow and are balanced. The achievements: Simply play the game and you get all of them, thats it.
