I only launched this because I had some time to kill. Turns out, it was one of the nicest surprises I've had in a while. It's short, but the story is compelling enough to keep you invested from beginning to end. The gamebook format works beautifully, the art direction is gorgeous, and the soundtrack deserves a special mention—especially the song during the credits. And then I discovered that parts of the story were inspired by real events. Well... that hit a little harder than I expected.2 found this helpful

A visual novel with mullitple outcomes and branching storylines with a good story to boot! I'm used to playing Japanese visual novel games, but this one was impressively done very differently compared to them. I don't remember any cut scenes but the game art stood out really well. The game mechanics are really thought out too (except for life - I still feel it's underused). Your chocies affect your character stats though I feel the character transformation changes have minimal effect on the outcome (haven't replayed much). Surprisingly, I took a very unusal route that got me to an ending which first time players might probably not get as it involved a slightly more convoluted route and balancing your stats. This is a good game to take on during a weekend and you should be able to get all the endings pretty quickly. The story progression and narration is very well implemented and it holds your attention pretty good (if you're into story oriented games). - 7/10
Better than a choose your adventure series.
Good storytelling and branching character development.
