What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the game's distinctive art style, dark yet vibrant aesthetic, and engaging story with layers of narrative and humor that reward careful attention. However, common complaints center on tedious gameplay mechanics like slow random encounters and lengthy dialogue that discourage replaying, along with frustrating combat systems involving ineffective abilities and damage buffs/debuffs that waste turns, plus some technical issues including image loading bugs that can halt progress.

Around an hour in and loving it so far. The art style is great and the use of dark tones in a vibrant, absurd reality is always one of my favorite storytelling choices in a game. Looking forward to playing through the rest. Started a let's play of the title here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2jh9ZvSpFt04 found this helpful
I ended up with a bad ending, not a bad game, and I even feel guilty about it. However, I don't want to replay it because the gameplay implementation is very boring, and those random encounters and dialogues take forever to skip. The world could have been made static with similar well-developed scripted situations that could be solved in different ways. Scripted battles and a slightly better selection of abilities that provide some advantage and joy would have been appreciated. I've been playing RPG Maker for a while, and I've never used buffs and debuffs. Spending an entire round dealing zero damage is a stupid idea. Zones and points of interest could also be highlighted in some way every day, rather than spending hours pixel hunting.
A cool story-driven game with a lot of layers to its narrative. Worth spending time on to catch all the small jokes and Easter eggs throughout the game. I think the previous bugs have been fixed, I finished the game without issue.
Before I played Without End, I had a small pp, no friends, no gf, depression, and no life. These things havent changed, but the game is pretty good
While the game rocks in pretty much every aspect I've came across some kind of issue. When in the place with mom and the counselour the mom fights begins game couldn't load images and I was stuck in endless loop of waiting for this to be fixed but the game cannot load the file.
