About Wolfsong
The Fiends, harbingers of a patient, intelligent, and all but forgotten evil, have been released from their prison inside Gorsus. They spread themselves out across the world and work together to achieve a greater plan. The Thaa'hune, an ancient, decaying race, gather together select individuals from many realms and train them to be spirit hunters for the select purpose of tracking down the Fiends and killing them before they can achieve their sinister designs. The primary protagonist in Wolfsong is a strong-headed young woman from a warrior society who is tasked to help a community in need. She soon discovers things are rarely so simple. Wolfsong takes place on the northernmost continent in an expansive world claimed and contested by many diverse and powerful realms. The story has been in development for many years, with a complex and complete history that will be revealed in-game.

So I just finished this game and absolutely loved it! The characters were super endearing and the world is beautiful and fleshed out. I normal start getting bored with doing extra exploring and just start moving through the story as quick as possible but with this game i really enjoyed slowing down and going around the world and interacting with the npcs and finding treasure chest. Also I thought the combat system was fun and different enough to be unique. I kinda tend to be a hoarder and a tank and spank kinda guy when it comes to turn based games, but in this game i felt like the strongest way to fight was also the most fun, which isn't always the case imo. Use your strong expensive abilities and use mana regen abilities and items to keep going. I do agree with the other reviews however about the story ending abruptly. It wasnt even the length of the game that was the issue, it was more like It felt like you were just really getting into the meat of the story(which i was really enjoying) and the final scene kinda feels like the scene where you were supposed to be introduced to the final boss. and be like okay this is the guy im suppose to hate for the rest of the game, but its th…3 found this helpful
Fun little old style rpg, in which you find the lore you should be familiar with if you played Lorestrome's flash games. It ties up the different story lines into an interesting new story. The graphics are great (unless you dislike pixel art). There is no tutorial or menu to find out or edit the controls, but they are very easy to use, once you find which key (X) gives you access to your inventory, the other controls are the usual ones (arrows/space/enter).3 found this helpful
This is quite a surprise to me. I know this game looked different but the sheer amount of effort put into this game is just DANG. This may have even dethroned Dreamscape as my most beloved RPGmaker title... EXCEPT for the fact the game's finale seems a little rushed. The final boss is a little on the difficult side, but the more innate issue is that (as far as I can tell) once you get into the final dungeon you can no longer walk out of it. This is kind of annoying since there are lots of side dungeons that you have no real hope of beating until right before the final dungeon. The problem is that you have no control over your party layout until right before the final boss... which makes the entire thing feel just a tiny bit off. Either way this game NEEDS more recognition. Either he custom made several dozen sprites for the game or he's using a set from the prebuilt assets that I'll be honest I've NEVER seen anyone use before. The way there are so many species interacting with each other in this is kind of super intriguing pulling you into it. Heck there is not even a single enemy recolor in the entire game, not including the slimes though! How many rpgs can you say …3 found this helpful

I very much enjoy this game. The game comes up in full screen for me, and I have had no problems so far. I can go anywhere on the map at any time, which I like. I also love the graphics and the way the battles are done. Thanks, developers !!1 found this helpful
Wolfsong is a very short RPG made on the RPGmaker engine- an oft reviled piece of software that allows people to create their own games through a myriad of templates. The battle mechanics, UI and most likely the code underneath is all stock RPGmaker. On top of this boilerplate, Hyptosis has affixed hand-drawn assets and an overworld system that one does not often see in these sorts of games. I have to say, it is hard to play through a game that does nothing transformative to the RPGmaker templates. In this case, there was just enough to keep me playing. The initial hour or two of the game promises something very grand and ambitious- an adventure of a young woman who has decided to buck traditional gender roles, become a warrior and see the world. Midway through the game. however, it becomes clear this was TOO ambitious and the developer runs out of steam. From then on, it becomes nearly indistinguishable from the loads of RPGmaker shovelware out there. This was a big disappointment to me, but I at least commend the effort- it is still offering a roughly 6 hour or so campaign for a dollar. The creative aspect to an RPGmaker game is definitely what you are looking for when you want …
