Renowned adventurer Adol “the Red” Christin and his companion Dogi arrive at Balduq, a city annexed by the Romun Empire, only for Adol to be detained before setting foot inside. While imprisoned, he meets a mysterious woman named Aprilis who turns him into a Monstrum, a being with supernatural Gifts and the power to exorcise monsters. Now, Adol must ally with his fellow Monstrum to fend off the fearsome threats emerging from a shadowy dimension called the Grimwald Nox, as well as unravel the mysteries of the Monstrum curse, and the truth behind the unrest within Balduq.

Ys IX: Monstrum Nox is a really exceptionally well done game with an amazing story, beautiful graphics and an addictive gameplay. I won't say many things because I don't want to tire people out and because even a whole wall of text won't justify at how amazing this game is, truly. Get it, go blind, don't check things online, just play normally at your own pace. Really great and fun game.1 found this helpful
2nd Y's game I've played and by far my favorite from the series, what an absolute gem. Fun action combat with interesting characters (wasn't expecting hawk & doll to be who they where) and interesting story that really shacks it up in the later half. Hope this game gets a remaster sometime soon, definitely up there with my favorite RPGs of all time. 100% a steal grabbing on sale with all dlcs, Easy 28 dollar purchase. Would grab it anywhere from 30-40 bucks with dlcs included. Pros- Full action combat (no turn based gameplay)- Has blocking, dodging, arial combat, double jump and a ultimate meter Good main character models and decent costumes- Personally enjoy the Monstrum troupe DLC skins a lot and really like the accessory's Gothic themed RPG which is cool, never really see em Interesting builds- Low hp, high skill dmg, tank/evasion, crit, and food builds Crafting gear- Old gear isn't completely useless once you out level it, can be used to upgrade to the next tier (mostly only useful for accessories) Unique monstrum passives- All of them are really nice and allow easier movement throughout the map and dungeons. Ex. Flying, grappling, wall climbin…

I like this game ever since I played it on the Ps4 but the story is good but you should've played the game right before this one, because it talks about it a little. The gameplay is also good but I'm used to Tales of Arise gameplay which is way better, but the game play is still good.

Not free battle ,like previous series but still enjoy able Real realistic source, everything with money even brew potion. Lots of explore wide city.
