Ys X: Proud Nordics

this review is not about the game itself, what I think of it is completely irrelevant, it deserves a negative regardless, here's why, what nihon falcom did is vile and completely disrespectful towards us consumers due to the following reasons: -reselling the same game with an expansion for a higher price when it could've been a dlc -allowing NISA to get away with their awful localizations in current day I only bought this game cus of very favorable regional pricing, what I paid in total for both this game is less than 50$ ONLY buy this game if you haven't bought the original

Solid game, but not as good as 8 or 9. - The sailing/combat is okay, if not easy - Graphics are standard Ys, so they look like Switch 1 graphics - Characters/writing is okay - Overall Story is okay as well, but again, 8 and 9 were better After the trilogy that is 8, 9, and 10, i'm hoping they put some more time into 11 and make it something special with a little better production value, especially after seeing how good Trails in the Sky First Chapter remake turned out. It's a solid game, but it's VERY much the same game as 8 and 9, just viking themed, so it's time for a shake up.

I've played every Ys game over the years, and I knew that Falcom would be working hard to create something special for the BIG part X. They absolutely delivered. I love this game! I love the story and the characters. The voice acting is excellent. The graphics are beautiful. I always like the soundtracks to this series. Sailing around the seas to battle other ships, and discover new islands is fun. The gameplay and mechanics in Ys X are also fun and addictive. The combat is fluid and smooth, and the character progression and customization gives you a lot of freedom to adjust everything to your playstyle. Playing side by side with your companion Karja is great. I love her as a character, and love switching between the two throughout battles. Each has their own strengths depending on the situation you're facing. If you're a fan of Ys, or action RPGs in general.. this won't disappoint you. 🎇🎉🎊👍

Up there with Ys 8 for me personally when it comes to exploration and combat. Decent story and likable characters with Karja being a girlboss bascially. Highly recommended but Ill still choose 8 if youre starting out.

The Ys team continue to be a source of some of the most consistently good jarpgs in the business. Fast paced, lot of parallel systems, magic hoverboard, it has it all.
