✦ AI summary

The Sims™ Legacy Collection is praised by players as a nostalgic classic that stands apart from later entries in the series with its unique darker tone, distinctive aesthetic, and challenging simulation mechanics that reward thoughtful household management. Players report the game runs stably on modern systems and appreciate its creative depth and humor, though it requires some learning to master and can be unforgiving with Sim survival and finances.

I don't write reviews but here I am. 6 year old me wish I had this version. I thought I was done with the sims franchise after dropping ts4. Bought this on a whim because nostalgia is a vice grip but I don't regret it! Pros: - QOL changes that make this slightly easier than the original version. It's still challenging but not punishing like the ogv. - Music, art style, everything. Not saying this out of nostalgia! The style doesn't feel overly outdated despite the comic sans font. The music still hits hard. - Unlimited neighborhoods, enough said - Mods/CC from the 2000s still work! - Haven't experienced a lot of bugs* - Cons: - Somehow a demanding game? My fans go insane while it's being played, while other intense games have no issues. - Harder to kill sims. Takes a hot min (ha get it) to set something on fire from a fire place, using the rocket inside, etc. Pool is still the fastest and reliable way. - * Not sure if its a bug or a feature, but pets will just go inside your homes to beg. The no pets sign is a must. - * The bug where the bartender blocks cars in downtown is still a problem, but a quick mod patch fixes it. - Not much to do late game. -…

I played this back in 2000 in Windows 95. This is by far the best nostalgia game to be played. At least for me. Doom is a close second, but that game we've all been playing since ever over the years. This rerelease, although bumpy last year, is now ironed out. Totally playable with just one click. The only issue I had was the flies and cockroaches bug, which you can either fix with a mod or just hire a maid and she'll take care of it for your Sims. And, oh, boy, I had no recollection of how hard this game was. In so many ways this simulates real humans. It is hard balancing life. You can't just do whatever you want. You have a limited amount of hours per day and limited energy. If you hyper focus on one thing, your Sims will become miserable and you, as a gamer, will suffer for it because you'll see your Sim not accomplishing anything and your gameplay will stagnate. Unlike me, research first what are the best stats for your Sims and you'll have it easy. Quick tip: don't put too many points in Outgoing or none at all. Back in the day I played only the base game + Makin' Magic expansion. And I only played inside the house. Being a kid, I didn't know any better. Now it comes with …
