What Remains of Edith Finch

It's October already?! Whoa, times fly faster than ever. But since now is my most favorite month plus preparations for Halloween (yay!), guess I better start the 1st of Spooky Season with this one. Hauntingly eerie, yet beautifully sad. I cannot say a single thing about the plot, because all of my reviews are spoiler-free. This is a game you need to experience completely fresh. No wonder it won so many awards; simply one of the best walking simulators in interactive storytelling—profoundly beautiful, incredibly sad, and visually breathtaking. It will make you cry, it will make you think, and it will stay with you long after it ends. Do yourself a favor: don't read anything about it, just buy it and play it. This game does things with the medium that no movie or book could ever achieve. The level design, the pacing, and the sheer creativity of how the story unfolds are absolute genius. It handles heavy, sensitive themes with an incredible amount of dignity and poetic grace. It is a short, unforgettable emotional rollercoaster. Go in blind and let it sweep you away. While it is a short game, it's definitely worth picking up especially if its on sale. Its a beautiful game that will definitely impact you in one way or another.

So simple , so legendary

Arguably one of the most beautiful games I've ever played. The story itself is tragic, but the way it's told from each perspective allows you to build connections to each character. Exploring and learning about this family that's essentially cursed is so intriguing. I've played it a hundred times and will continue to do so. A bizarre game thats worth playing.
