About Remothered: Tormented Fathers

✦ AI summary

Survive a nightmarish investigation in a sprawling mansion where a disturbing nurse and her employer hunt you relentlessly, forcing you to choose between stealth, deception, and combat to uncover dark secrets. Blurred morality, psychological depth, and a haunting score from Final Fantasy and Metal Gear Solid composers create a cinematic horror experience where every interaction and environmental clue matters.

Remothered: Tormented Fathers is the pure and realistic survival horror videogame

✦ AI summary

Remothered: Tormented Fathers has an engaging story with solid atmosphere and memorable characters that many players appreciate, but the gameplay is frequently frustrating due to unclear puzzle solutions, clunky QTE sequences, and scripted chase mechanics that feel more like trial-and-error than survival horror. Players recommend picking it up on a discount rather than at full price, as the experience can feel tedious despite having worthwhile narrative elements, though opinions vary on whether the time investment is ultimately rewarding.

9h of HELL I was done with it mentally half way through but I had to finish it by then just for completion, the game wasn't even that scary just annoying, for a couple of reasons mentioned in the other negative reviews. After all of that the ending was so cringe.

Short, solid, fun horror experience. Bit janky and it is pretty much just stalker-based horror with lots of fetching things to do another thing rather than puzzles. Outdated graphics for a 2018 game, but it doesn't need to look super realistic (the remaster looks so wrong in comparison). Default sound imbalances threw me off near the start. Cutscenes need to be turned down a bit more as they start abruptly and are a lot louder. Odd story, but the cast acted the hell out of it.

Interesting story. Great atmosphere. Memorable characters. Bad game. I enjoyed the premise and characters enough that I wanted to like the game far more than I actually did. The biggest problem is that the gameplay is rough as hell. Scripted chase sequences, QTEs, and timed moments often require you to do one very specific thing without clearly communicating what that thing is. You'll die, replay the section over and over, and eventually stumble onto whatever interaction the game wanted from you. These moments should be tense and frightening but quickly become frustrating because you're no longer trying to survive...you're trying to solve some clunky mechanic that totally deflates the experience. It's quite infuriating. The puzzles have the same problem. Rather than following clues, deducing, and arriving at a satisfying solution, I usually progressed by wandering around, interacting with everything, or noticing something I'd walked past ten times already before realizing I could interact with it. Rarely did it feel rewarding to actually solve anything. It's unfortunate because there's plenty here I liked. The mansion is a great horror environment, the characters are memorable, …

AT A DISCOUNT! Like under fiver discount. The story is a mess, Once you realize the patterns the stalkers are a joke. It can be jankie at points. But after 100% I can't really say that my time was wasted. But I can also say that I'm not exactly itching to check out parts 2 or 3 either.

The story is solid, love the plot twist and build up, poor Celeste and Jennifer, and Fck the Felton father, and also Felton for hiding the truth. The gameplay in the other hand is not perfect, kinda slow with the animation when you try to run the stalker and close the door behind, hate to loot the item but instead close the drawer door, enemy line of sight give me headache sometimes. Kinda hate the QTE. Love that you can hold the door from enemy while chasing you, using rope to tight the door for slow the enemy, able to open the door half to check outside. Can hide in the corner just out of enemy sight or just go to closet/wardrobe. The stalker/enemies: - Mr. Felton : grumpy old man, bro is naked with medical apron with sickle, looks stubborn. - Red Nun : The entity from the painting full of reds, talking gibberish, very creepy. - Jennifer : Daughter of Felton love watching TV until you take the battery of the remote. - Felton's wife : mother of Moths, just don't look at her, look away while smash those 5/6 mirrors. - Gloria : Felton assistant/nurse the truth is she is just a victim despite doing all of the disgusting action and know the truth. Audio and Sound:…
