Buddy Simulator 1984

Great game! I played this back to back with Inscryption and was surprised by how similar the two feel in certain ways. Buddy is a really well crafted character, and I found myself feeling genuinely conflicted about my actions at several points. That said, I do feel a little cheated by the fact that you seemingly have no real option other than ruining things with him. I’ll definitely have to do another run to see the alternate endings and uncover the rest of the story, but for now, I really enjoyed my time with it.

Go play it, and go in without knowing anything about it. [I did that] I originally found this game as a recommendation since I like Electric Dreams [film] and I think even beyond the concept of the game, the themes within it mean a lot to me. If you ever played the game Alter Ego, this game also has similar concepts, albeit both are very different. [spoiler]The lines about friends not being eternal, but Buddy Simulator being eternal hit hard, especially since I have dealt with similar issues in my own friendships. Even if friends are not eternal, the friendship can resonate eternally.[/spoiler]
