Banner Saga 3 is unplayable, constantly crashing after first battle even without cloud saver
An fine ending to an trilogy inspired by Nordic Myths and languages. Not the usual "Viking big, viking bad! Viking raid!" unga bunga stuff we get from Hollywood or otherwise. Sadly, it is a bit blighted with issues stemming from Windows 11 seemingly as there been reports of lesser issues using Linux. Playing 1-3 back to back is likely the way to do this, without any long breaks. Together they form up to about 30 hours in one playthrough on average. Combat was not something I overtly enjoyed so I played it on easy in this one. But I think it has its charm, but the setting, characters and story is what make this game shine.
A game always crushed very annoying
Sadly this game is unplayable. And its shame because first and second BS was perfect but this game crushing literally every 10 minutes.
You can fix the stability issues. The CPU overload issue is a hazard the community has fixes for. I gave up after a few crashes, but played with more pc savvy friend. About to replay with my ancient saves. The game it self is strange, as you have characters from 3 BG3 size games, super leveled. Writing is good, but it can fall off here at the end with so many branching paths.
