✦ AI summary

M.A.S.S. Builder is a cheap mech customizer with excellent building depth that lets players recreate their favorite mechs with impressive freedom, but the combat feels floaty and imprecise with poor targeting mechanics, and unlocking all parts requires grinding through the entire campaign. Players praise the customization and visual results, but find the gameplay repetitive and not beginner-friendly, making it worth trying the demo first to see if the building appeal outweighs the combat frustrations.

Its a nice lil mech builder but the game is kinda dead, also ou can make some really great looking mechs, but you also have to play through the entire game to unlock everything (parts farm) ehh

It's a mech-builder game, and it's cheap. The combat is average; light and floaty and handles more like a dynasty warriors game. You feel more like you're playing as a some dude wear mech-flavored armor. Despite there being no advantages or disadvantages to making a cool mech, if you like making your favorite mech (Gundam, Transformers, Macross, Patlabor, Pacific Rim, etc...) you can do it here, with better results than most other games. I built a sizable number of my favorite Gundams and several personal units. They all look cool and function well. The tuning system lets your mech function in any way you want with the right parts. And while there could be more parts to really get the right look, you can get close enough with enough patience and experimentation. The game has pretty good music most of the time. Now, here comes the list of negatives. Building your mech's aesthetic armor requires lots of different shapes and parts. You don't know whether a specific part is a good fit until you buy the schematic for it and the good parts aren't cheap. As such, unless you're using the prefab set pieces you won't be playing 80% of the game's story with the mech of your dreams unt…

This game is definitely worth the money, but that's in my perspective, you should absolutely try the demo first. CUSTOMIZATION: The customization is absolute, it feels limitless, and unlocking these parts are mostly rewarding. COMBAT: The combat is fun, it's not amazing or godly tier-wise, but if you learn the feel of things and get a decent build for the level, it's fun. LEVELS: Levels have some variety, I'm not ecstatic about the variety in levels, but It's definitely good compared to the "low bar" of gaming; this is helped with the divergence of playable levels in trees. (e.g. "STORY", or "HUNT") DIFFICULTY: It does feel like difficulty spikes somewhat, with several moments where I have to rethink my build, but this just means you have to think a tad bit with this game. ONLINE PLAY: Online play is a different story. I don't actually know how it goes down in the lobbies, but that's because not many people play it, so it's just how socially "dead" games work. I believe that if the multiplayer games are fairly similar to the main levels, it could be fun. But, I admit that I've never used multiplayer because of the lack of players. CONCLUSION: Overall, I give…

TLDR: i cannot recommend this game. keep looking for another Mech game unless you are a masochist. this game isn't beginner friendly nor very fun and quite repetitive. the designing of mechs and the weapons can be Ok yet is not intuitive, nor as accessible as say mechwarrior or armored core. to unlock parts to build your dream mech, be prepared to grind and suffer (and not in a good way). THE BAD: #1- The targeting and aiming mechanics are absolute ASS. locking an enemy does not always work, the camera behaves odd and jumps around especially when trying to manually aim. likewise shots/melee strikes do not always go where you want them to go and there is little you can do to change this behaviour. even the auto aim/lock function misses a majority of the time regardless of accuracy stats and such. #2- movement feels very clunky and slow to respond, actions once started MUST finish and cannot be interrupted except for say a % bar when disarming EMP mine or scanning some other objective. #3- the above two combined makes combat more frustrating then enjoyable. #4- on top of the three above complaints the ai is rather simplistic/braindead and to compensate for that they implemented swar…
