✦ AI summary

Endzone 2 draws mixed reactions from players, with some finding it engaging and addictive once it gets going, while others find it boring or consider the first game superior. Common concerns include tedious search mechanics and the studio's shutdown leaving the game unsupported, which some players view as a reason to avoid it entirely.

I had a lot of fun playing. The vehicular gameplay reminds me of Anno. However, as soon as I destroyed a raider settlement, the roaming raider mechanic kicked off and was brutal. Vehicular combat sucks and they appear from every direction, so defending bridges wont do.

this game starts out slow enough. by the time you get about 200 population you are ON THE GO. I have to say I LOVE playing this game and I can hardly put it down. I'd give this an easy 10/10. LOVE IT.

The search mechanics within the areas feel a bit tedious and time-consuming, but the game itself is excellent.

Endzone 2 improved on several things from the first game, but I still wouldn’t call it a masterpiece. I actually believed in the project enough to support its official Kickstarter campaign with a fairly substantial pledge. The campaign ran from September 26 to October 26, 2023 and raised €58,184 from 1,563 backers, almost double its €30,000 goal. I did have some issues with communication around the campaign and my support, which wasn’t exactly ideal, but okay — life goes on. As for the game itself, there are definitely improvements over the original. The multiple settlements, vehicles and changes to colony management give it its own identity rather than making it feel like Endzone 1.5. Those were also among the major reasons the developers said they wanted to build a proper sequel instead of simply expanding the first game. But is it something I would put in a gaming magazine and call an absolute must-play masterpiece? Probably not. If you enjoy post-apocalyptic colony builders, resource management and this particular style of strategy game, though, you can absolutely have a good time with it. It simply plays differently from many other games in the genre, and that can be part…
