Buggy achievements+ still using Denuvo 5 years after launch

I loved it. I enjoyed the story and figuring stuff out on my own. I was so motivated to finish this game. The fact that you can try different approaches, I get that some people found elements of it to be repetitive, but I feel like it was the point.. It's literally a loop... lol I didn't try all the abilities, since I am more of a sneaky player myself so I was too comfortable teleporting and turning invisible, to swap it out.. The Havoc skill is pretty cool though.

The concept of dividing the game in 4 periods and 4 locations is very interesting. Even if the context of the game is not my favorite (I prefered a lot the Vistorian era from Dishonored), I had a lot of fun with the game. It was interesting to track the quests and the action/infiltration gameplay was super fun. I only have two issues with the game: 1. At 2/3 of my game time, I was nearly maxed out. So, the remaining third of the game lost the leveling-up interest. 2. The game is sometimes too guided, especially the last loop. In particular, it is a pity that there is only a single way to end the final loop and that the game explains it, instead of letting the player think about it. But, despite these two negative points, I still recomend a lot the game and I was very pleased to play it.

Trying to play this game again after years of being away from it. Had trouble about a year ago where it would crash. Now it simply does not launch. It worked when I first got it long ago, but some update broke it at some point. I know I could try to roll back the GPU drivers, but I just don't think it's worth the hassle. I don't think this will ever get fixed. It's simply not worth it to the corporation to fix a product that didn't sell well in the first place. Unfortunately I think the tone of this game was a little too jokey/silly for lots of Dishonored fans. I personally did actually enjoy the style choices, but I do think the Visionaries had too similar of personalities) I did really miss the Chaos system tho. I actually like consequences for my choices! Who knows if Arkane will even continue to exist at all. Very sad end to a developer who made one of my favorite series of all time.

If you enjoyed Dishonored and Prey, you'll love this. The story is creative and engaging, its a beautiful and detailed world, and the mechanics are an improvement on what you'd expect from an Arkane Studios game.
