✦ AI summary

Dive into the fractured minds of suspects in 2084 Kraków as a neural detective, using the Dream Eater to hack into their memories and uncover dark truths buried in nightmarish psychological landscapes. This atmospheric sci-fi noir from Bloober Team features a haunting final performance by Rutger Hauer as you navigate a rain-soaked dystopia where privacy is extinct and the line between investigation and invasion dissolves.

The original first‑person cyberpunk horror detective tale set in a decaying, neon‑scarred future. As an Observer who invades minds to hunt for clues, you will sift through corrupted memories to track down a mysterious killer and confront your own dark past.

✦ AI summary

>observer_ impresses players with its excellent worldbuilding, intriguing story with genuine plot twists, and strong atmosphere bolstered by good visuals and music, though gameplay becomes repetitive at times and stealth sections are considered weak. The game has notable technical issues including crashes, performance demands, and some forced stealth sections with broken NPC AI, plus serious epilepsy warnings for its flashing dream sequences. Players recommend experiencing it at least once for the narrative-driven experience, though patience with its mechanical shortcomings is required.

Elon Musk's wet dream. I don't know why they felt the need to make a new version of an already good game, but I will be sure to play it in the next 10 years.

Amazing story for a non-AAA game. Gameplay can get repetitive, which is its only downside. Graphics, direction, music, atmopshere it's all good, it's worth playing at least once.

Words are not enough to describe this game. They would not do it justice. An excellently crafted story, filled with great exploration, great visuals, and many intriguing concepts. Just when you think that you finally wrapped your head around what's going on, you are confronted with a plottwist. Quite a few of them.

Great worldbuilding, intriguing story. Actually has an ending for once! Easily recommendable. Serious epilepsy warnings though, the games features long dream sequences with lots of flashing, jump cuts with extreme contrast and color changes, repeating patterns, and other forms of optical violence. Like most non stealth games with required stealth sections, they suck. At one point the hunter NPC would get stuck on level geometry and teleport forward on his path, breaking patrol cycles and requiring a restart. Also, for 2017, surprisingly demanding game. Beautiful don't get me wrong, it kinda makes me wonder what the hell we've been doing in the last 9 years. It seems locked to 60fps so I don't know how much headroom it had, but it would frequently go down to 40s, which would be mostly fine in a walking game like this but something really bad happens to the motion blur and other effects that just makes it nasty to look at. And in dream sequences it would make my desktop fan spin so hard I could have controlled it like a quadcopter.
