Nordic Ashes: Survivors of Ragnarok

Worth it?: Only for less than $5. Rating: 6/10 Pro's: Nice Visuals. Thematic Nordic Vibe. Wonderful Soundtrack. Con's: The worst grind of any "Survivors" game. Poor design makes the game lose steam after level 2. RNG isn't good. Constantly offered items impossible to afford. Awful HP system. TLDR: Great ideas implemented poorly. It would be a 9/10 if it was a polished & balanced final product.

Game plays janky, movement is slow, coupled with slow experience progression. Also, enemies like to summon damage directly underneath you. 95% of deaths are from running away from 500 enemies and then a boss summoned something underneath you that you couldn't see, so needlessly took damage. Also, many skills (relics) proc off of your dodge (explosion, etc). This is terrible because dodge is supposed to be used to get away from enemies, so when your explosions, etc. proc, they constantly whiff and hit nothing. Thus, you have to suicide into enemies in order for your skills (relics) to be successful and if you dodge THROUGH an enemy, you 100% get hit. These design choices are god-awfully dumb! HOWEVER, the worst part about Nordic Ashes, is that the lvl-up screen isn't automatic, so often in the chaos of battle, you don't notice multiple level ups! Also, these fcktards didn't give the option in "options" to automatically bring the lvl up screen after getting a lvl up. Nordic Ashes is one of those games that doesn't tell you sht and expects you to know everything. If that was true, you would've stayed away from this horror movie.

As a fan of survivors-likes, I highly recommend this game. The leveling of the skill trees is very fun as is all the different attacks. Also Gnoki is adorable and I love the plushie.

Really fun game for in between:) Definitely worth a shot if you like rogue like games!
