Eador. Masters of the Broken World

The game is basically a remake of Eador - Genesis in a 3D engine. Everything is the same and the game is great. Combination of Civ and HoMM. There are some bugs but what game doesn't have them on release? It's a great game, lots of fun to be had in Eador. If you already own Genesis there is no need to buy the same game again but if you don't you should buy this one instead. I would play Genesis since i prefer the 2D artwork but lack of animations turns me off. For the end, don't be fooled by negative reviews. It's horsepoo! The game is great and totally deserves positive rating.

Absolutely great game, loaded with depth and fun ruined by unimaginative AI and unbelievably bad polish. The Russian company that ran this studio was absolute trash, as well. Do not buy this game. Do not support this dev company.

If you like old-school turn-based strategy, 4X games, Heroes of Might and Magic, Age of Wonders, King's Bounty, or anything that makes you say "just one more turn" at 3 AM, there is a ridiculous amount of stuff here to dig into. But this game absolutely does not respect your time, and it has enough balance, pacing, AI and technical issues to drive you completely insane. Let's start with what makes it good. The tactical combat is easily the best part of the game. Battles actually require you to think about positioning, unit abilities, movement, morale, stamina, ranged attacks, spells and which targets to prioritize. Your units aren't just anonymous stacks of soldiers either. Individual troops can gain experience, level up and become considerably more useful over time. Your heroes are even more important, with different classes and progression options that can completely change how you approach a map. Exploration is another thing I really like. Your heroes aren't simply moving around conquering provinces. You can explore territories, discover locations, encounter monsters, find treasure, get equipment, meet strange characters and stumble into situations that can completely change …

Decent game, but does not live up to its potential. It looks great for what it should be, but remains unpolished. Pick one if its many competitors instead of this.

A fun experience with simple mechanics and satisfying progression. Definitely worth a look.‍
