- - - WARNING - - - SECRET OF MANA remake is a lazy cash grab, DO NOT BUY this game. - - - WARNING - - - The game suffers from a ton of game breaking bugs ranging from random crashes to getting stuck in place. The only thing you can try to complete the game at all is limit your GPU to 60 FPS in the AMD/Nvidia control panel. It took me about 14 in-game hours to complete the game and I experienced about 40 crashes. I still powered through just to write the review and warn everyone, especially old school fans of the original SNES game which was a lot better than this trainwreck. The remake barely improves anything but still manages to vastly enshitificate almost every aspect of the original. So, here a few things that you should consider before giving Square Enix your hard earned money: - the music has been remade and it is horrible (you get 3 improved tracks and over 10 big downgrades) - the 3D graphics are just bad (mobile game quality instead of an upscaled old school style) - the English voice acting sucks and makes the game worse (Japanese VA was fine tho) - they've removed a lot of the funny and detailed animations and sound effects - a constant barrage of bugs (black scree…

Game won't stop crashing on the first boss. When I first played it like 10 years ago it worked, but now it doesn't

If you played this game as a kid like I did and it imprinted it's fantastic, unique and ethereal music and colorful world on your mind, you were probably at least somewhat interested in this game when it was announced some years ago. The lukewarm reception upon release gave me pause to at least wait for a while and lo and behold when it came up for sale I decided to take the plunge. I was expecting the worst based on the few videos that I saw, but actually, I was pleasantly surprised ... for the most part. Adopting the original music and graphical style I would say would be a tall task. Both were so beloved, so tinkering with them too much would surely draw the ire of fans. I can safely say both music and visuals were done with careful craftsmanship. Small details on character models gave new life to the characters, and some of the designs which caused me confusion as a youngin (the Pandora soldiers for one) make a lot more sense in the third dimension. I played the Remake on PS5 and the game is alright. However the PC port so full of bugs that it's unplayable. I couldn't fix the bug where your stamina just doesn't fill up, so i'm unable to fight. After an hour of trying to fix it i gave up.

Already getting stuck glitches within 1 hour of game time. I've beat this game twice on the snes and never had these problems. Sad to see my favorite snes game become such trash

I don't even know anything about this game and never made it past the tutorial. It has no in-game fps limiter and forced my PC to run it at 1800 FPS. Tried to mess with Radeon chill (AMD GPU) for about 10 minutes before giving up and asking valve for a refund now. Do not buy. Also crashed about 3 times in the 15 minutes I was on it but that may have been due to it forcing itself to run at 2000 fps.
