Call of Duty: United Offensive

It was better than the base game, but still suffers a lot of the same issues but to a lesser degree. A lot of the levels feel like "levels" still, they don't feel like places, they feel like closed off hallways. AI is far more difficult for some reason, which is worsened by the fact that it feels like health is more scarce, but that wasn't too much of a problem besides the last level. There is also a mod for this one that fixes a lot of the widescreen issues and FOV issues, for some reason there isn't one for the base game still. 4/10

Like its original game, plays well enough on a Win11 machine, with an odd crash here and there. Restarts fine. Campaign is done in some 6 hours. REQUIRES THE ORIGINAL CALL OF DUTY TO BE INSTALLED TO PLAY (otherwise you'll boot into a misshapen main menu, and the game crashes automatically when launched).

Call of Duty: United Offensive is definitely not the best Call of Duty experience, but it's far from the worst. It has some enjoyable missions, intense battles, and plenty of classic Call of Duty moments. Some parts are better than others, but overall it's still a solid expansion and worth playing, especially if you enjoy the older Call of Duty games.

Well that was a lot better. Gray Matter despite using the same framework as the somewhat poorly aged Call of Duty 1 made bigger, more dynamic and interesting levels. Visually the levels also have a lot more variety and manage to be a step up on design. I enjoyed this campaign a lot more than the base game and would absolutely recommend it.
