[h1] Those older games are always hit or miss. When launching you always prepare for controls to not work as expected, in this case press right shift to shoot and maneuver with arrows *sigh*. Plays like a top down shooter. Gameplay was probably ok back in the day, now it's clunky. Some training missions must be completed first in order to get into normal missions. What else to say? Steer away and play something at least decent. [/h1]

Got in a helicopter for a chill flight turned out it was a flying gun with a joystick now I shoot enemies and yell like at a soccer match even my cat claps from the windowsill.

Heli Heroes is a game I remember playing when I was a kid, so coming back to it after all these years was a great nostalgic experience. It brought back a lot of memories, and I was surprised by how much I still enjoyed the gameplay. For an older game, it still holds up as a fun and straightforward arcade-style shooter. Flying around, completing missions and taking out enemies is simple but satisfying. Definitely worth playing if you grew up with this game. For me, the nostalgia alone made this a really enjoyable experience.

Definitely not a great game, but it has some charm to it and does not overstay its welcome and, contrary to what Steam and the pcwiki page would tell you, this game is fully playable with a controller (at least with the "Xbox one" controller).
