How long until Markiplier makes this into a movie.

Graphics and mechanics feel outdated and controls are suddenly clunky. levels are boring and the game feels more like a chore than fun. regret spending time on it rather than playing something more exciting.

ts genuinely unplayable

Maybe it is a decent horror game story wise, but it's so buggy I just didn't want to waste time playing it. At first try, I just wanted to check what the game is all about, and the game crashed soon after the start, and after that it didn't want to run again without restarting the computer. With next try I played the prologue, and didn't catch what was being said, so I've decided to go back to options, see if there are subtitles that could be turned on. Options were not available during play so I had to go back to main menu. Subtitles were not available and I couldn't get back to where I left the game because the game didn't save at all, and didn't even inform me about that when I was quitting. So I tried to play the prologue from the beginning again, 3rd time, and the game during cut scene just hanged at black screen.

Hektor is a first-person horror game built around unsettling environments and sudden scares, throwing you into strange, fragmented spaces with very little context. The experience leans more toward shock and confusion than structured storytelling. For me, it relied too much on cheap jump scares, and the overall experience felt a bit out there and discombobulated. While the atmosphere has its moments, the lack of cohesion made it hard to stay invested. It might work for players who enjoy chaotic, unpredictable horror, but it didn’t really click with me.

Developers aimed too high in my opinion. The game is a great package. The story, atmosphere, voice acting, art design, graphics, music... it is good in that regard. But it is tedious. The progression, the mechanics, the puzzles... it is tedious. I think the developers should focus on creating smaller well rounded horror games rather than trying to be like Outlast, or whatever was the inspiration here. I played many bad horror games with mixed rating, and I can say that this one is better than many of them. But I cannot recommend it, as it is tedious and needlessly long. It does not doo anyhting that well, because it focused more on creating the whole experience to bel well rounded. Well, it failed. I would rather welcome some smaller in scope, game with scary premise executed well.
