Here Comes Niko!

This has the vibes of a smaller game, and I think that's okay! I had fun talking to the animal characters and collecting goodies. It's hard to avoid comparing it to Gears for Breakfast's other 3D collectation, A Hat in Time. AHIT is definitely much better than this. That doesn't mean Niko is bad, it's just a smaller project. I recommend both games but recommend AHIT first.

A pretty short but still very enjoyable 3D platformer. You play as Nico who just got a job as a Professional Friend. Go out into the various towns, helping people with their problems and receiving quarters for your trouble. The game plays a lot like A Hat in Time and Demon Tide, so if you're a fan of either of those, you'll likely enjoy this game too.

A short, simple and sweet 3D platformer. If you like wholesome, feel-good exploration platformers this should be right up your alley. It controls well enough, though if I'm being honest, it's not the best controls wise, the player character get's stuck on some level geometry here and there and the platforms are not super precise, but the game is very forgiving so it's not a huge deal. The story is simple but sweet, as are most character interactions. Though the game likes to dip into (very light, cartoony) unsettling situations every now and then. Which, while not being bad, feel ill-fitting. Also it is quite short, I beat the main story in roughly 4 hours while being relatively thorough with my exploration. So I would recommend waiting for a discount.

Fun puzzles and platforming challenges in a vibrant and colorful world filled with cute, charming, incredibly well-drawn characters. I loved it! It soothed some of the feelings of depression that had been gnawing away at me. I'd offer Niko a coin if I could, because she's brought joy to my heart like only a professional friend could.
