Morbid: The Seven Acolytes

An very good little isometric soulslike that starts off fairly easy before becoming increasingly challenging as you progress. Its difficulty can easily become frustrating, but the combat remains satisfying despite a relatively small amount of quest content. 100% steam achievements Time : 16.6H Completion Difficulty : 3/10 Playthroughs : 1 Missables : Yes Notable requirements : complete the game, unlock all 15 blessings, and one no hit bosses.

It was pretty alright, had enough fun and almost 100% it (not even going to try killing a boss without getting damaged)

Great game! 15 hours that never got dull to do a full first playthrough. Combat is tough but fair. Setting & creatures are amazing. Very cool lore.

I recommend this game. The design, music, and Diablo-esque equipment system are all great. The artwork is beautiful, the enemies are interesting and varied, and the bosses are challenging without being overly difficult. Overall, the game is easy to complete and finish. There are a few things to consider, though. Near the final swamp, there is a confusing section where you reach an area with no apparent way to enter the level. Without any guidance, you must backtrack to a completely different location to find the actual entrance. The bosses also feel somewhat unbalanced for their placement in the game, as some early bosses are harder than the later ones. The equipment inventory could benefit from an auto-sort feature, and it would be helpful to have a clearer explanation of how the different elements work. That said, this is not an expensive game, and you get more than what you pay for. I’ve heard that the same developer created 'Morbid: The Lords of Ire', which is set in the same universe but presented in 3D. I don’t know, it seems to stray too far from what the original game achieved. I would love to see a proper continuation that improves upon the original while preserving it…
