7th Sea: A Pirate's Pact

I dont recommend the Game because of one flaw that sadly can not be changed: You have to know and play the Tabletop RPG it is based on. Otherwise you will be completly lost and unable to really enjoy it. Just like me.

The best way I can describe this one is 'meh'. Positives: The strong points of the game are what I guess most of these type of games have. I'm pretty sure there are quite a few endings to it, some setting descriptions captured my fantasy, I found most characters to be ok. Negatives: Smaller one: - A couple of times it felt you only have the option to say the same thing in different ways. Occasionally they also didn't make much sense. Since these were few and far between I didn't mind them that much so it's almost just an observation. Bigger ones: - Choice of Games are very PC which I'm not a fan of, but I learned to accept it. To me the others I have played also went on with this in a better way. An example is that I don't want to read that the captain of a pirate ship is asking for permission from the MC to kiss them after they willingly followed her into her private chambers. I want her to take the MC and throw them on her bed. It would have been a lot better to ask the reader what the plans of the MC are or what do they want, so we can still keep the PC part and the captain of a pirate ship wouldn't need to sound like a wimp either. Apart from a few lapses in logic found in "7th Sea: A Pirate's Pact", such as a large ship being able to sneak up on another on the open ocean in the middle of the day during clear weather, I enjoyed the read and found most of it good. (6/10)
