12 Labours of Hercules VIII: How I Met Megara is a casual resource/time management strategy game. At the start of each level, you have 1 or 2 workers who you direct to do various things ranging from collecting resources to constructing and upgrading buildings or gold mines. Hercules does the heavy work if there's a boulder in the way. Its as good as the first and overall it's a very enjoyable time management and if you're a fan of the genre you should pick it up.

A very familiar look and feel, with 5 chapters of 10 levels each, a bonus level in each chapter once you complete a chapter's jigsaw (you need to get that gold time!), plus a super-bonus level at the very end. This installment's new feature is the micro-levels accessed by pressing those "keyhole" buttons. Strategy is better implemented here, so look at the objectives, where they're located, and what resources appear to be predominantly required (there's usually one for each level) to avoid running short of time. A nice follow-up, with great amount of playtime for the price... AND we get to rescue kittens!

I played this game from start to finish, and I really enjoyed it, BUT I guess I've been spoiled. When I beat a game, I'm used to getting some animation and a little fuss given by the game. All I to was "Congratulations, you finished the game!" This annoyed me. Give me some stinkin' fireworks on my screen, dammit! I want a participation trophy, too! But I'll play the other games in the series, because this is a fun resource and time management game.
