Keeper of the Day and Night

Better. The strange scene skips are gone. More fights. Stats are more understandable and manageable. More romance stuff. (Kol. :3). Only thing I didn't care for were governmental stuffs -> The ones where you listen to what an Act does and you either support it or not and a variety of other stuff related to it. Mhm. Everything else? Okay. I especially liked... [spoiler] Where you end up in the forest with Marcela and Dominic and both of them swear that the other one is the "bad guy". So you can either "side with one or the other" OR...! You can freaking take them both OUT! THANK YOU! I ALWAYS wanted to freaking do that! So I did. And... Then being a nice MC, I dragged myself and both of them out of the woods.[/spoiler] You're welcome! Also, there is no Book 3 as of now (unless it's invisible to me) and towards the end of book two we know what's about to go down. So... I wrote the events/ending to Book 3. Because of Kol. Better than KOTSAM without a doubt. The world gets fleshed out way more and the writing quality was very good this time rather than just ok. The characters got to shine a lot more here than KOTSAM, which made the game a lot better. Romances are still kind of tacked on but I think they do their role well.

I played it through several times so I must like it. It reminds me of Wayhaven without the sex but with some romance. It is part urban fantasy like Jim Butcher's Dresden books but most of the scenes are in a hidden part of our world apparently in rural Pennsylvania. The setting reminds me of Harry Potter a lot. It is a coming of age story as our main character gets stronger as the story progresses. Like the Wayhaven books some results are based on your choice regardless of your stats. but some seem to rely on your stats. Like all of these type of stories some choices are an illusion of choice.

It's packed with even more drama, characters, and exciting choices as you can carry over your character from the first game to this one and continue as a sophomore at New Magi Academy. The stakes are higher and everything really builds to a satisfying dramatic ending, with plenty of character growth along the way. I highly recommend this title for anyone that's a fan of Choicescript games. It's up there with the best of them.

Would definitely recommend this Interactive fiction game, It is my all time favorite one, I have played dozens of these games and the writing style and the balance of the romance subplots and the main plots are unmatched. This game refuses to compromise good story telling or good romance plots. All of the characters have their own well developed stories that you can see on the romance route for them or on the best friend route if your not romancing anyone. The writing in the first game isn't quite as good as the second but both are amazing, and the third one is set to be another step above these. 100% worth the purchase.

An amazing sequel, all of the author's writing has improved and without a doubt the scale and escalation of the series is felt all throughout the game. Stresses of saving the world, learning about magic and improving oneself, everything that you could possibly want from the setting is there and its exactly as chaotic as it sounds. Absolutely great.
