Controls are good, graphics, sound and level design work well. This is a decent little game. A bit whimsical but enjoyable.

Great game. Has all the QoL features you'd want in a metroidvania to keep your momentum going and not make you feel stuck.

Hell yeah, Crypt Kitty. The change in game style from 2d platformer to top down had me hesitant, but Kyle pulled off this take of the genre every bit as expertly as each of his other titles. Plenty to see, explore, and overcome. An adventure worth having, with accessibility options to help make sure you're not ever left stuck, and in-game end game help to find those last handful of items you might want to track down.

Very fun game with a fun cast of characters and sweet, touching moments.

I'm a bit of a metroidvania fan, a friend brought this game for me and honestly I was surprised by how good it was (I thought it would be good it was great). I like the art style it's charming and gives it it's own vibe in style and the music is great along great zone design. Each zone has its own design, colour palette, music, enemies, etc really makes every zone memorable and different to the previous zone and I'm here for that. The bosses also good, sometimes a little tricky but not too much of a hassle (unless you go for the undefeated achievement; like me, cause I hate myself apparently.) controls are smooth and on some jumps during exploration it's fairly forgiving on whether you should have landed or not, but honestly? I like that touch. really makes exploration feel smooth, fluid and fast. I write this review now as I just got 100% and all achievements so it felt the most fitting time to do it, which is why I waited till now to write the review. Got 100% on the first go, I only had to Google search a single actual thing for the post-game and in my defense I wouldn't have gotten it without an in-game clue or something lol. The combat feels good, relatively smooth attacking and jumping/dodging around mobs and bosses. A couple tricky platforming parts and some running chase scenes that I had a harder time with mainly just because of sweaty hands, but would probably have not felt annoyed with them even if that wasn't the case. Finding everything was not an issue either, you get two relics that will show you invisible paths, hidden walls/rooms, and signal what item is in the room if there is one. Even before that, there's a machine you can spend currency on and it will mark random item locations on your map for you or even give you a main objective marker if you are too lost. Some of the traversal moves get sidelined a bit soon after you get them, and even when they're utilized again it's often feeling at a detriment. There's a dig ability you get that only works on specific spots and the game will usually put these a whole two sections from where you need it, so you often get stuck looking for it on backtracking just to prog…
