About U.V.S. Nirmana

U.V.S. Nirmana is an engineering puzzle game from Coincidence, the creators of Kaizen: A Factory Story and the inventors of the Zach-like.Set off on the Unreturning Void Ship Nirmana as it continues a journey of uncountable eons toward the edge of the universe. Stop by distant worlds and ancient civilizations, helping them as part of your pilgrimage with your companions, the Renunciants. The U.V.S. Nirmana awaits.

Thirty Zach-like Puzzles to Master

Conduits, signals, and constraints must be brought into accordance with optimal patterns. Design pipe networks that route energy flows from the vega drive engine and other sources. Modify their behavior with the control matrix while minimizing flux.

A Medium-Difficulty Pilgrimage

Too easy is too easy. Too difficult is not rewarding. For those already experienced with previous “Zach-like” games, a complete journey will take roughly 4–6 hours.

Twelve Tools for Expedient Means

Tools include sensors, valves, multiplexers and more. Their skillful use will be necessary to assist the various life forms and civilizations that you will encounter along the way.

Custom Puzzles

Continue exploring state space beyond the missions of the U.V.S. Nirmana by designing your own puzzles and observing as others solve them.

Eternal Solitaire

A solitaire variant inspired by the traditional game Oware is included. Strategic play rewards insight into the future and an understanding of cause and effect.

Histograms and Leaderboards

Optimal solutions are their own reward, however, those interested in comparing their work to others can do so with these features.

It's better than the quite literally shallower copy of Infinifactory (with a *dash* of Opus Magnum) that Kaizen is, but UVS Nirmana is confusing in all the wrong ways. Parts You Don't Know What They Do should not be happening. I should not have to *reverse-engineer the thing a cleaner does* in order to solve the puzzle that introduces me to the cleaner! I should not have to go "why is there a Whatever That Is in my parts list" on the *second level!* The devs ape the aesthetic well enough, but I do not think that they are going to prove a true heir to Zachtronics, after this disappointing addition to their oeuvre.

It's a Zach-like by Zach. What else could you want? Maybe even the best puzzle and content wise, because each puzzle requires you to have an insight instead of getting bigger and more tedious. This is due to the puzzles nature, which also limits the solution space. Smart! I very much enjoyed it!

As a follow up to "Kaizen", it's a big improvement.

Fantastic puzzle game. Fans of other Zachtronics games will feel right at home.

beat the main game around 16 hours. Insane quality as always, great puzzles, new mechanics till the last main puzzle (I loved the last puzzle, insanely clever) was not really the fan of this solitaire personally. the bonus missions are challenging too. for the asked price it's a steal in my book. Looking forward to the next game

Nice game, great setting and atmosphere. Really original scifi buddhist thing going on. The puzzles are fun, I think if you play it like a zachlike you will get frustrated as you are trying to find THE solution (there is only one real solution), the optimisation element is pretty superficial. I don't hold that against the game. It's also not too hard compared to similar games. My main criticism is that you often feel like the tools you have are working against you; quirks of the components (how they connect, not being able to modify certain aspects of how they orient etc.) can feel a bit unreasonable and frustrating; these bits don't really mesh with the challenge of finding the solution so it feels a bit jarring. But it's a good game.
