Digimon Story Time Stranger

I'm going to have to bow out of this one at about the 30 hour mark, the story and characters are peak JRPG generic nonsense, "I'll do my best to protect my friends!", "Love is always the answer!", "I'll keep trying even when darkness threatens the light!", that kind of cringey sh1t. If you can get past that, the evolving and gathering of the Digimon is decent, but it's complicated since you have to keep evolving and de-volving the critters you want to evolve and the messy and confusing UI does it no favors. It became a boring slog after about 20 hours since all the generic combat encounters are braindead, and then the bosses have these ridiculous skill leaps where everyone on the team has to have a type-advantage and you have to churn out your health items just to have a chance of winning, it's silly.

good

Very fun!

Is good.

BEST DIGIMON GAME EVER! Its worth it, they fixed all the other problems in the other digimon game and made this one worth it. I use to stress in grinding in digimon and confused in some aspect in trying to progress in the story mode. This game brought all the best content and placed it into one game and more. Looking forward to more updates and addition to the game. Only negative is some things you want you might have to buy the extra content

Great Monster Raiser, a little grind-y but that's by design so if you are at all inclined to that style it's very satisfying. While I wish there was a Digimon World style game of this same caliber, this is probably the best Digimon game that currently exists. It is not a direct competition and I play both franchises but I did end up enjoying this game way more than the last few Pokemon titles (Z-A, S&V, Sw&Sh). This game is not perfect but I did get addicted to getting all the digimon and the story twist actually surprised me which feels rarer and rarer as I get older. It's a good time.
