About Alive
Alive is an 18+ Visual novel where the choices you make matter. There are optional minigames which can affect the outcome of different scenarios and the story as whole. They can also be disabled if you prefer a more story-driven experience with less interactivity.
Alive contains over 6000 images, over a hundred animations, and a carefully selected soundtrack to enhance the experience along with multiple paths that make the story of each playthrough different.

Erin, the wild child and Nikki, her "rock".

Mary the "innocent" barista, and Stacey the rich girlfriend of your best friend. You wouldn't betray him, would you?
Alive is a story of romance, drama, and maybe even betrayal. As you meet the characters and are introduced to the world, Erin's ex threatens everything. What does he want, and how will it end? That's up to you. And maybe you'll even have a little fun along the way.....

Maybe at the bar with Tonya...

Or Nikki at the pool...

Or even a night in with Erin...
Alive focuses first on the story and burgeoning relationships between the characters - and every new relationship has it's ups and downs -

But what's a good story without a little bit of fun? Alive asks the simple question - what would you do, to feel Alive?
PROS:

Gorgeous, natural-looking models. I especially liked that there is a goth/emo girl among the cast!
A surprisingly large number of endings, giving some incentive to replay the game.
The opening premise is interesting and does a good job of grabbing your attention.
Gallery feature.
Minigames can be skipped, which is a blessing considering their quality.
The animations look good, and the ability to change camera angles or interact slightly during scenes adds some immersion.
Nice soundtrack that fits the game's atmosphere well.

CONS:

The minigames are poorly designed and feel more frustrating than fun.
No voice acting. While understandable given the game's age, it still makes some scenes feel less engaging.
Completionists will likely be annoyed that achieving 100% can require purchasing the official walkthrough, as some achievements are extremely difficult or obscure to obtain naturally.
The story starts with a promising premise but quickly loses momentum and becomes predictable and boring.
The phone mechanic feels underdeveloped and ends …1 found this helpful
Alive, developed and published by Cskin Games, is a narrative-focused visual novel that builds its experience almost entirely around player choice and branching storytelling. Rather than relying on traditional gameplay systems, it leans into decision-making as its primary mechanic, offering a story that evolves based on how the player shapes the protagonist’s actions and relationships. It is a game that prioritizes personal interpretation and outcome variation, presenting itself less as a conventional game and more as an interactive narrative experience. The story explores themes of identity, relationships, and the idea of truly living rather than simply existing. As the narrative unfolds, players are placed in situations where their choices influence both immediate events and longer-term consequences. Characters react to decisions in ways that gradually alter the direction of the story, creating a sense that each path reflects a different version of the protagonist’s life. While the overarching framework remains consistent, the details shift depending on the player’s approach, encouraging exploration of multiple outcomes. Gameplay is intentionally minimal, with most of the exper…1 found this helpful
A Story Worth Playing Through Multiple Times
I went into Alive expecting a visual novel with adult content and left genuinely invested in the characters and their stories. What surprised me most wasn't the sexual content—it's actually more restrained than I expected—but how engaging the cast felt and how much the branching choices actually shaped the narrative. I've already completed two full playthroughs with different romance paths and I'm working through more, which should tell you something about how much this game hooked me.
Pros

Strong character writing and genuine chemistry between cast members that makes you care about relationship outcomes
Meaningful player choices that visibly affect story paths and character development, giving multiple playthroughs real substance
Well-paced narrative that balances romance, drama, and character conflict without feeling bloated

Cons

Some scene transitions feel awkwardly inserted or abrupt, creating occasional flow hiccups that pull you out of the narrative
Minigames are optional but their integration into certain story moments could be smoother
With 15 out of 30 …
