About Barking from the Dark
Barking from the Dark - is a first-person horror game about a lonely night shift worker at a remote railway crossing.
At first, the routine seems simple: tighten the bolts, raise the barriers, let trucks and heavy freight trains from the mines pass through. But the previous operator disappeared after answering the call of a strange barking coming from the forest. All that remains is a note — and the unsettling feeling that the shadows between the trees are moving on their own.The Night Is Full of Secrets
Repair the rails under flickering signal lights and answer calls from the dispatcher. But with every passing hour, the forest comes alive — the barking grows louder, closer, more insistent.
What’s hiding out there? Dogs? Or something far worse?
Alone Against the Darkness
The tiny control room is your only island of light. An old computer, mechanical control panels, instructions pinned to the walls.
Everything that separates you from whatever lurks outside.
An Abyss Beneath Your Feet
The trains cannot be stopped. The connection breaks. The wells lead downward.Descend into a Psychological Nightmare
Routine work slowly turns into a desperate fight for survival. No cheap jump scares — only mounting tension, where fear is born from loneliness, silence, and the unknown.

As a whole, this game has a great setup and builds tension very well until the fourth chapter. The atmosphere and feeling of being exposed while doing maintenence work outside was very well executed and the news on the PC added to the feeling of something going wrong later on in the story. I can say that I was getting paranoid after a bit. That ends what I liked about this game. Now for what I didn't like: The story sets up a lot of plot points that either have little to no payoff at all and even does a major twist that came out of nowhere and brought down the experience by a lot. Especially when the thing that was being set up in the first place is treated almost like a secondary thing. Potential was there for something really good but then the plot is thrown out the window and all the tension is gone for the rest of the game, I felt like the plot was going to back on track after what I believed was the setup for the proper climax of the story, so my disappointment was great when the game just ended afterwards in a sequence that felt even more out of place than the major plot twist. Some suggestions that could have made this better would be: -Having committed to a more simple …4 found this helpful
I Love These Types Of Games. I Somewhat Predicted The First Half OF The Game, But I Didn't Expect The Second Half. I Had Fun Throughout. My Gameplay: https://youtu.be/fTNk9iJ6AAw2 found this helpful
For a couple bucks, it ain't too ♥♥♥♥. Short enough, couple of cheap jumpscares, overall its decent for a night before forgetting it ever existed. 7/112 found this helpful

it was decent overall but the hunt at the end could have been better
