Blood and Gold: Caribbean!

After playing this for more than 100 hours i now understand why it has mixed reviews and why it gets a lot of hate from M&B fans. I should have listened when they warned me not to bother with this. It's a glorified mod sold as a game and it tries to do and be a lot of things on a super old engine but it ends up being the definition of mediocrity. I'll just say this: If you want to play something similar to Pirates! just play Pirates! and it's mods and if you want to play something similar to Warband just play Warband and it's actual good overhauls.

A rough Mount & Blade on the high seas grab it on sale. The Good: • Mount & Blade Core Loop: If you like M&B series, the open world sandbox formula translates surprisingly well to the 17th century Caribbean, something one could enjoy! • Faction & Roleplay Variety: Great historical setting where you can join or betray the English, French, Spanish, or Dutch, fight Native Americans, or go full pirate and build your own empire. • Added Depth: Features a decent economic trading system, business management in towns, ship upgrades/fleet mechanics, and neat side activities like tavern mini games, and ho's The Bad: • Buggy Combat & Units: Cannons feel unreliable, and certain troop types (like cannoneers) are frustratingly ineffective in combat. Boarding battles often turn into chaotic, tight space melee flailing. • Native Factions Need Work: While Native American troops are in the game, they lack variety and depth. • Unfinished State: Infamous pathfinding issues, poor explanations for core mechanics, unbalanced quests, and lingering bugs. Verdict: The developers ultimately abandoned this before fixing core issues or reaching its full potential. Don't pay full price wait for a deep sale, …

Classic. Only play if you liked Warband. Otherwise play that.

bad pirate game and bad mount and blade game

I returned the game because I’ve never seen such a disaster in my life. It’s riddled with bugs from the very start, and the building architecture is so ugly it’s painful to look at. Don't buy this game if you like pirate titles—you're better off choosing *Caribbean Legends*.

yeah just dont. overcomplicates basic actions and ideas, controls are awful
