BRUTAL JOHN 2

Ok initially I would rate this a 3/10 it is comically bad, I thought after an hour that was the point. After about 2 hours I know this is just a bad tech demo in a ♥♥♥♥ engine. While it mostly runs at playable FPS on Steamdeck it looks like I am playing the original Serious Sam at 1024x768 with worse broken physics. The gunplay is mid at best the melee is ok but broken too. Why people make bad games based on bad jokes and expect people to pay for them is quite annoying. It is not 1998 NO FPS prototyping is warranted there are dozens of working engines that stomp this to the cellular feces it is. Unless you have some brain damage I do not recommend wasting your time. Ive played a hundred FPS games to be conservative, this is one of them.

BRUTAL JOHN 2 is what Duke Nukem Forever (THE UNRELEASED ONE) was meant to be. It is just that: plain and simple boomer shooter, easy af even on the hard difficulty. I laughed with the continious stupidity of the plot, all weapons feel good to use. Stages are no boring, there are a lot of cameos and mini games... that's it. Problably the less memorable area would be the OST, it aint great but it aint bad, is just "Outlet store music". I say get it, and go full "kill&Chill"

Good shlock is like cold pizza, or the first cigarette on a Sunday morning. Simple pleasures that stick with you and make you smile. I fell in love with this game's charm. Even the jank is adorable. Turn your brain off and enjoy <3

Great testesterone doom shooter which doesn't take itself too seriously, great value for money too, would highly reccomend

A homage to old boomer shooters. Fun levels, satisfied shooting gameplay, alot of references to old games and youtubers. The devs clearly love and put soul in it.
