Players appreciate the game's atmospheric graphics and initial sense of unease, with some finding it decent for its budget price, but most feel disappointed by weak execution in key areas. Common complaints include a poorly written story that feels phoned-in, ineffective and goofy jumpscares that undermine the horror atmosphere, and limited gameplay variety that gets repetitive quickly. The consensus is that it's a mediocre experience—not terrible for the low price, but ultimately forgettable and short on substance.
Promising graphics, dumb story. Priced appropriately. No ill will or anything, it just was written as if the person didn't give a damn about the story and just wanted to get something done.5 found this helpful

Since neutral review isn't an option yet, I'm leaving a negative review on «Channel 64» for now. First things first «Channel 64» isn't a bad game, but it isn't all that great either. I'd say its mediocre at best with what it offers to a player for its cheap price and short gameplay. The atmosphere this game was trying to make with its graphics, gameplay loop and audio design made me feel a bit unsettled at first, but when the "scary" half of the game began, that's where it all fells apart, because the jumpscares that were thrown at me from time to time weren't scary at all, and in fact, most of them looked just goofy and cheap. I probably won't refund this game and maybe even attempt to get the rest of the achievements at some point in the future.4 found this helpful
