About Chaos Coming

"In the midst of chaos, everything appears eerie and terrifying. The entire area is filled with fine dust-like particles, the air is heavy, and it seems as if all sound has been swallowed up. The dark atmosphere is chilling. The deep gullies on the ground resemble endless whirlpools, from which there is no escape. In this desolate world, strange and mysterious creatures appear and disappear like ghosts in the darkness. Here, terror and chaos reign supreme, and nothing can predict what will happen next. And the most frightening thing is that there seems to be some incomprehensible force hidden here, which leaves people at a loss and deeply trapped in it. These mysteries and secrets often lead to even darker abysses!"

"Chaos is Coming" is a personal independent development of the Cthulhu Mythos-style card roguelike game. In the game, the player will enter the realm of chaos to explore, face various mysterious and crazy creatures and events, collect powerful relics to drive away monsters, and escape the domain before their mind is corrupted.

During the exploration process, players can freely choose characters with special talents, match their own equipment plans, and use limited resources to choose their own growth direction, make careful decisions, and make rational use of resources to avoid death and continue to move forward. Come and feel this domain of chaos!

Just had a chance to sit down with this title ... and for $1.79 I got, and am going to get, a whole lot of play. Since the game doesn't appear to have English as its first language, some of the concepts have to be intuited and I'm still not sure what a few of the special abilities do, but if you've played these types of games that is just a temporary inconvenience. That said, the first thing I had to do was find the settings screen, which isn't in English, to change the settings so I could read the screens. Tough like it should be, but once you get the hang of things, it's a lot of fun. Sort of like a marriage of Mori Carta and House of Pain, but it appears possible to win, which I can't do in either of those games. Levels appear randomly generated, with varying amounts of potions and powerups in each chamber but generally the same types of enemies, which can be very hard to beat. I don't often get the "one more play" itch from games I've purchased but I got it three times just over my lunch hour. There's a lot here. Five different ability levels and about a dozen classes are a lot to keep most players busy. And it's hard to beat the price. Worth a pickup for sure. I'm impresse…

It's not bad per se, it's just nothing special or innovative. At least it's cheap. I also don't like the graphics. The elder horrors look goofy and the lack of animation makes it really boring after some time. If you fall in the small area of the Venn diagram where softcore gamers, fans of CCGs, and Cthulhu fans meet, you may be able to find some fun in this game, but I can't promise it.

Nice little game with a layer of replayability. Multiple characters and 5-6 levels of difficulty. Each run is approx a 10 minute run to the boss monster.

The game is amateurish, yet fun, especially considering its price tag. Some in-game texts are in broken English, which makes understanding game mechanics hard at first, but after a while, you can get the hang of it. I love the authentic atmosphere of Lovecraftian mythos – you truly feel like you are trapped in some bizarre place, with no clue what is going on. The visuals and sound, albeit minimalist, enhance the atmosphere.
