About Creeper World 3: Arc Eternal
Fight back against a fluid-like creeper that spreads relentlessly across destructible terrain using strategic fortifications, terraforming, and experimental weapons. Create infinite custom missions with built-in tools and scripting, or explore thousands of community-designed worlds in a strategy game that scales from quick skirmishes to massive, sprawling campaigns.
Creeper World 3: Cellular automata takes over a strategy simulation.
Instead of discrete units that attack your base, a fluid-like substance spreads over the terraformable terrain. Your base, your weapons, your strategy... you must adapt them all.Creeper World 3 bends what it means to be a strategy title.
Instead of heavily scripted A.I., players find themselves engaging an enemy with theoretically predictable behavior yet which is shockingly interesting to engage. Players can build fortifications and stick around forever. Players can go for domination, quick strategic kills, or amass huge stockpiles of resources. Some play for speed, others to create art. Tiny maps, large maps, five minute missions, five day missions... the simulation scales to handle all of these scenarios.
User generated content is critical and supported at multiple levels in Creeper World 3.
Dial up worlds using the DMD (Dial Map Device) and tweak dozens of constraints. Then, play and share the addresses via an on-line database. Create your own maps using the built-in map editor and upload and share on-line. Or, join with thousands of other players and peruse the databases of worlds created by others. Want to create a new weapon, a unit, an enemy, or an effect? Use the built in scripting language to create what you dream. Hundreds of engine commands are exposed and examples abound on the forums and grow daily. You can even take the built in story maps and make your own. In fact, all of the built in story missions were written using the built-in editor and the CRPL scripting language. Some of the high level features are:
- Thermodynamic/fluid physics based play.
- Billions of total missions.
- Story arc with insane and unique enemies.
- Explore hundreds of star systems with thousands of worlds in Prospector missions.
- Hundreds of hand crafted missions in the Alpha Sector.
- Dial up your own mission worlds using the 'Dial Map Device' and share the address.
- Create your own maps using the included map editor.
- Play on maps of variable size, dimension, and shape.

creeper world 3 is arguably the best game of the series. it changed perspective back to bird's eye view and as you play new, surprising and interesting aspects are added into the game. quite impressive. it may look simple and chill but it's not that easy after all. playing tired late at night will easily leave you annoyed and raging. ask me how i know! terraforming added a whole new dimension to the game and there are lots of new enemies, units and gameplay elements to learn. every mission offers a new and interesting challenge and i had a real blast playing another creeper world game. there are always news tricks to learn and new tactics to explore and some levels are even turned into tower defense maps or actual puzzles. amazing game and incredibly addictive! finishing the main story took 16 hours and i spent "a few" hours playing extra missions. like a lot. a total of 140 hours were needed to get 100% achievements unlocked since there is actually some grinding involved but it was still fun and entertaining. also i didn't rush anything as usual. you could easily spend 300 or maybe even 500 hours to beat all the levels included in the game. also the map editor an…3 found this helpful
interesting combination of defense and offense in a puzzle format. Well disguised and fun tutorial (56 hours into just the tutorial!). Well worth the cost.
Very engaging. Not too hard so far, and you can pause at any time and still issue commands, so there is no time pressure. The maps are like mini puzzles, and if you like you can make a game of time optimizing them. Or you can settle for just any solution, which makes it more like a very complicated power washer simulator. 10/10 - this is way more fun than silksong.
Fun game, simple to player, tricky to master
its 1108+ hours of fun, csm's are the absolute bomb!
An amazing game that mix tower defense and RTS in a sandbox style. Wish there were more hand-crafted levels though, many missions outside of the story ones feel randomly-generated.
