Debugging Hero from Team ETTU is a roguelite that builds its identity around a genuinely inventive premise, taking the familiar structure of top-down action dungeon crawling and reimagining it through the lens of programming logic. Instead of relying purely on reflexes or conventional combat upgrades, the game introduces a system where players can directly manipulate variables within the game world, effectively “debugging” enemies and situations in real time. This idea gives the experience a distinct flavor, setting it apart from many of its genre peers that often lean on more traditional mechanics. Unique concept but in execution the game doesn't have enough variety for a roguelike. I played through 3 runs in my playtime & there wasn't enough difference between each run to make me want to play more. The game is just a bit too short for its $10 price tag IMO.

Harder than I expected in a good way (at least when playing on hard, haven't tried normal or easy.) Very cute art style I don't see enough of. Actually love it. Just wish there was more of it, and maybe a wider variety of things to edit or ways to debug.

Very cute art and good gameplay. The game is also quick, so it doesn't overstay its welcome. I had fun from the begining to the end and even took the time to complete the codexes in less than 15 hours of game.
