Elohim Eternal - Prologue

"Elohim Eternal - Prologue" is not an RPG Maker asset flip. It's an advertisement for an RPG Maker asset flip! This is a lot like if the measles decided it wasn't popular enough so embarked on an advertising campaign. Anyway, while it's inappropriate to discuss the product this is advertising, we can summarise it by just saying it's an RPG Maker asset flip, and like all of those, has zero value whatsoever as a serious PC game. But it's not appropriate to discuss Elohim Eternal because this is not Elohim Eternal, it's an advertisement for it. And I can't recommend people download advertisements on Steam. If you want ads, Youtube has plenty and you can stream those without going through the effort of adding them to your library and downloading them. This is only free in the same way that adverts on Youtube and banner ads in your browser are. This is a game demo that's been dumped on Steam to advertise another Steam store page in the hopes of raking in some cash. Just because advertisements are free, doesn't mean they're worth your time. Plays really good with biblical references that don't seem like it's trying to preach, but tell a story. I really also enjoyed that the dev added little bits of commentary into this demo. Definitely getting the main game.

Short and sweet, a game designed to give you a taste of the broader world. I've not played the full game that comes after this yet but plan to. Combat seems difficult but rewarding, and I'm looking forward to seeing how the system evolves in the next game. The author also places several notes in this game that gives the player a look at their creative process, and I enjoyed the look behind the curtain. For a game that took me maybe 30 minutes to beat, I did enjoy the rather personal story it told. Its a reminder that not every plot needs to be epic, and it made me interested in learning more about the main character and the world at large.

Got me interested in playing the full game.

While I was already in the camp predisposed to like something like this; I'd find it hard to believe that anyone wouldn't be charmed by it. while lacking of the spectacle of its Indie JRPG contemporaries it has something that those games lack, a soul (and good writing). if you got an hour to kill there is no reason not to treat yourself to this gem. Looking forward to playing the other games in the series

A preview for a very Biblical RPGMaker game. Very effective storytelling given that the preview is only around 30 minutes. Combat seems interesting. It's not very complicated, you just need to focus on enemy weaknesses in battles, which you can find out by using an item. The various stats have different names than you might be used to - there's no HP and MP in this game. The setting, as I mentioned above is very Biblical mixed with some high fantasy elements. The story is a bit wordy, but not so much that it detracts from the message. Just about my only complaint is the behind the scenes elements to the preview. No offense to the dev, because I really do enjoy the preview and am looking forward to the actual game, but I'm really not that interested in that kind of stuff and I hope it's not in the actual game. Overall, I enjoyed the experience and as long as you don't have a hate boner for RPGMaker games (why would you even play this if you did, though?) and don't mind a bit of verbosity I think you will too.
