About Everholm
Lilly is searching for her lost sister, Melanie. During her search, she happens upon a magical portal that lures her into Everholm: a cute, cozy little island where everyone seems to recognize her. Gathering her wits, she sets out to uncover the mysteries of this little slice of heaven, with the help of a local witch...
Everholm is an open-ended role playing game, focusing less on punching your way through the island's wildlife, and more on interpersonal relationships. Meet the residents of Everholm, gain their trust, and figure out why they're stuck with her on this enigmatic island.
Everholm isn't just about talking to the locals - it's about living together, learning new skills, and making the most of this cute little island. Lilly will have to learn how to farm crops, forage for supplies, do some fishing, raise livestock, and more. Turn a little run-down homestead into a cozy and well-kept place to truly call home. However, Everholm isn't all sunshine and flowers - the island has many secrets which need to be pried open by force or finesse accordingly. Delve into procedurally generated dungeons to fight monsters that lurk underground, requiring powerful weapons and spells to survive. Delve deep enough into the dangerous caverns, and Lilly might just be rewarded with rare materials to bring topside… There is always more to Everholm than meets the eye. As Lilly bonds with others, discover each of their hidden secrets. But before that, they need to trust Lilly, which may be more difficult for some over others. Help others or choose to ignore them and enjoy the cozy atmosphere and non-linear story as you prefer! Unlock new pieces to the puzzle of where Lilly’s sister is and how to bring her home. - QQ official group: 875458679

We got this game pretty cheap and played almost 100 hours, so it has definitely delivered value for money. Based on what I've read online, it sounds like there have been a lot of improvements since it was first released, so kudos to the developers for continuously improving the gameplay. Pros - [list] [*]Cute graphics [*]Characters are reasonably well developed. There isn't a ton of original dialogue with each character but they do have something of a personality that fits with what you'd expect from their back story. [*]Quite a lot of different things to do - quests, mini games, dungeons, collections, farming, magic. Nothing revolutionary there but each of those facets is quite well developed. It's a nice change that some of the features of other games in the genre (like moving buildings) are spells in Everholm [*]There is a sort of overall story to the game which gives it a kind of creepy undertone, which was a refreshing change of pace from most cozy games, although it didn't always feel like it made sense (maybe because we missed something, see later). But the story isn't so critical that you have to avoid doing the standard things like farming to follow the storyline, whic…2 found this helpful
Everholm is a very weak ripoff of Stardew Valley, basically a spooky ghost steals your little sister so you have to play Farmville in a retro pixelcrap village. There's a couple of dozen Stardew Valley ripoffs on Steam now, they're easy to make and that's why creatively bankrupt amateur developers love them, but they don't offer anything of value to PC gamers at all. This one lacks polish, is rough around the edges, and is generally of very poor quality. In fact the most amusing part of this game was the developers delusional pricing (this weak ripoff costs more than Stardew Valley!!!). More on that later. There's an overwhelming amount of mediocre Visual Novel/E-book style cutscenes in this game. The developers failed one of the most basic, fundamental requirements of game design.. "Show, don't tell." So you'll spend a huge amount of time not playing the game, but clicking through endless lines of poorly written VN text cutscenes because the developers couldn't work out how to relate their narrative through the game mechanics, and decided instead it would be better to compete with reading a book for your time. We're here to play games, not read through hours of garbage in…1 found this helpful
The witch is not at her place when she opens the shop. It takes her like 5 in-game hours to get there since she wanders around town for some reason constantly. Is it so the NPCs feel lively? So they walk around? Then just give her a magical cat inside the store as a clerk to buy from or something cuz smh. Also, the archive doesn't work on the first day since Alice isn't there at all. Is she hiding somewhere else? Are you supposed to put items in some top-secret spot? Idk, it's just confusing. Either bugged or not clear enough, but mby I'm not good at video games, who knows. PS: System Requirements Overview is kinda crazy for 2D 2D top-down game.... lol Other than being frustrating its ... Good. PS: COPPER SHOULD BE ON FLOOR ONE IN UNDERGROUND.
I love it! It’s like a Stardew valley but more in depth and you can have long or even longer days (my favorite setting). The story line is amazing and I love how much you get to know each character. Also.. magic? Yessss
It has great vibes, a gorgeous art style, and a satisfying gameplay loop. If you’re into this type of game, it’s definitely worth it ( ◡‿◡ )
I put alot of hours into this game and I enjoyed it but around 50 hours the game glitched and deleted my axe with no way to remake it. I was lucky to have a cloud save that hadn't downloaded yet from my deck and was able to start not too far back but it was annoying. I also wish the story wasn't so open ended. I really did enjoy the game play but disliked the grind but i get it. If an expansion comes out with a bit more story I would pick it back up for sure. It was an interesting take on the farm sims..
