Spiders is just as legendary a studio as Piranha Bytes; every one of their games has a unique feature that sets them apart from the rest, and it’s a real shame they shut down.2 found this helpful

Small warning: this game ends with a cliffhanger. A promised sequel never appeared and the developers themselves admitted, that they don't plan to make a sequel anymore. I must say I really enjoyed this rpg game a lot! It's a complete different feeling to fly around, instead of walking around. To see simple birds being so much bigger than you and observing the world as a small being is really appealing and of course all the mythical creatures are giving a decent fairytale atmosphere. The character creation itself wasn't my most favorite one, because fairies are really feminine and pretty beings, but I was still happy with my character in the end (gave him some kind of goth-looks). Speaking about the looks of the character: I really loved the idea to change parts of your looks/bodies with levelling up (I always wished for such kind of option in a game)! For example giving your fairy-hero a tail, antennas, different kind of wings, etc and of course those transformations are improving your skills/stats as well! This game is so chopped, but it was a big part of my childhood so I had to replay it. I always really loved the odd little level up/evolution system when it came to the body modifications. I wish there were a market for faerie games similar to this but for adult audiences; more lore-heavy & high fantasy.
Faery can best be described as messy, most things are just mediocre, from gameplay to story. The one saving grace is the game's worldbuilding and characters.
This is the best game Spiders has ever developed and it's honestly not even close.
