What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players describe this as an abstract, experimental interactive experience rather than a traditional game, with striking visual and musical design that explores themes like depression and breakups through metaphor. While some find it genuinely moving and relatable, others feel it falls short of delivering genuine emotional impact despite its artistic intentions, and many criticize its brevity (around 13 minutes), minimal gameplay mechanics, and confusing presentation that obscures its meaning rather than clarifies it.
What did I just play?? This game is random AF. I don't really know what is going on, but it's not really a game. So if you like weird art games, then this is def something for you. If you are looking for something to play and interact with, then this is not the game for you.2 found this helpful
A short little game that is abstract in what it is trying to say, the game was worth its price of 99 cents. The story is a bit up for interpretation and may need at least two play throughs to understand what is being conveyed. Gameplay consists or clicking on objects or spinning objects to progress the game forward. These bits can last a bit longer than expected, but help to overall tell its story. I will not detail the story I think is being told for the sake of the game and for you the reader. If you like abstract games that don't say what they mean in a blatant way while still having an interesting art style, this is a game to spend a bit to invest in. And perhaps towards the creator themselves.1 found this helpful
I liked it, the music was sold and the visual style is good. The text is a little disorienting to look at, but I think that is the point.1 found this helpful
Yet another example of why Steam should have a "neutral" recommendation. This "game" is very short. I finished it in its entirety in 13 minutes. It is more of a personal experience for people going through a certain life event than it is a game. There isn't much in terms of gameplay. Basically what you see in the trailer is exactly what you will see when going through the experience/game with no extra scenes. There are elements you need to interact with to progress the experience/game, but nothing is complicated. The experience/game portrayed emotions that are very true to what it feels like going through a breakup, but failed to make me experience those emotions myself, if that makes sense. Kinda like the difference between talking about emotions and feeling emotions yourself. Some of the motion is disorienting. The screen shakes, and while this seemed to fit the vibe, I could see how someone prone to motion sickness wouldn't like it. It didn't bother me personally, though. The music is enjoyable, though I see it is from a free sounds website. I don't see why someone would want to buy this if they weren't/hadn't gone through a breakup themselves. It feels more like the creator…
Short little expermental game. The first part i was so releatable. I was diagnosed with severe depression, and the beginning and the boat are such incredible and accurate metaphors for how I feel at certain times. A beautiful interactive experience.
the game fits parts of the discription ill give you that but this aint worth a dollar i was expectating llike a voice of like a old man telling you abot life or a dude in his early thirtys talking to you about hoe life is just starting really confused by it also really hate the controls most of the assets used where from free sights
