My gambling addict friend said if I post a review on Full Moon and it gets 350 likes and 150 Awards that he will buy me a case of beer and some vodka . So I'm just gonna leave this here.

Really cool game if you're into figuring esoteric puzzles, kind of a mix of Understand and early Zelda titles, lovely pixel graphics with chiptune tracks, the final castle area track was especially charming If you're stuck near the end, there was a key item I couldn't figure out how to get (or what it even was), I ended up solving it by visiting the main page and realizing the trailer showed how to get it, not sure if there was a way in-game to figure that one out

"Full Moon" is a badly but at least genuinely made 2D retro pixel (ugh) top down adventure game where you take on the role of a witch that hunts werewolves. Ok. There's some clever ideas and fun puzzles, it's nice that "spallcasting" seems to follow the same arrow combo minigame that the Helldivers 2 stratagems use... but this is no Helldivers 2. The weak technical implementation is what undoubtedly lead to this being a failure to attract any interest from gamers. This features really godawful, lazy pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter. What matters is that this looks bad because of that decision, and that's a major deterrent to gamers. Games like Terraria and Stardew Valley succeeded [i]despite[/i] the bad graphics, not because of them. I've only played the game once. I killed the werewolf. It took me three days, off and on. Watch the trailer for insights if you get stuck. The pen-and-paper recommendation is real. It's not just for writing down spells but other details that help solve puzzles. There is more than one way to overcome some of the challenges, depending on what you have in your inventory. I'll be honest, I feel like I took a long way around and ended up with every single item. I couldn't tell you how I got most of them. it isn't down to luck or brute forcing your inventory against problems. Many things follow logically at first, but become more about "moon logic" (as it is sometimes called in puzzle games.)
