Haunted Legends: The Bronze Horseman Collector's Edition

You play as a detective (maybe the same one from Queen of Spades), who has come to a town that is currently getting flooded by rain and overtopping streams. This seems to have heightened a local legend where the Bronze Horseman at the center of the town square will awaken and pass judgement upon the citizens. The mayor has summoned you because his son has gone missing, and he wants you to find him. Oh, and there is a rather familiar dwarf running about selling crystals that seem to be… capturing souls. The plot is fun, the music thematic (if repetitive), the HO scenes engaging, and the minigames challenging. Suggest getting in the Haunted Legends Bundle, but otherwise worth the play.

Not that great. No hint button. When you need something explained you have to go to the strategy guide. Takes a lot of time.

IT has a very good story. does not leave any questions.

A fun search and find game that has a chilling story line. While it took a while to navigate due to there being no hint button (outside of the search areas) I had an absolute blast figuring out the story line. I give this game a 8.5 out of 10.

As a fan of HOGs and point and clicks, I would highly recommend to give this entire Haunted Legends series a pass. They are clunky and the puzzle solving is kind of infuriating. You think you've solved the puzzle to open a door for example, but, nope, that was just the first part. Now you have to figure out how to open the second part of the lock. With items not yet in your inventory. And a LOT of running around, like more than usual.
