Explore procedurally generated worlds and dungeons with multiple parties of heroes. Ally with other towns to recruit new and more powerful heroes. Explore and loot countless dungeons on your quest to save the world.
A Broken Land, shattered by the Wizards of old, the Fragments of the Old World are adrift in the Void. You must visit and restore each Fragment of the Void, only then can the World be rebuilt. However you are trapped in a crystal body, unable to act alone.
You must gather and recruit the many Heroes of each Fragment to act for you. You must explore each Fragment of the World. Delve into every dungeon to gather the resources and power needed to purify each Fragment. Expand your outpost to train and equip your heroes. Make allies with the other towns and settlements, convince them to join in your quest.

If you can look past the janky UI and simple low res graphics; this is an absolutely great game. I love the mix of overworld exploration and turn based dungeon crawling. I'm pretty sporadic with my gaming sessions and this is a great title for both big sessions and 15 minute tea breaks alike. Thanks to text_garden on tildes.net forums for the recommendation, without which I never would have found this gem (the thread I found via websearch looking for hidden gems from the summer sale, I'm not a member/associated with the aforementioned website). PS for linux playing, while apparently it is natively supported I had to enable proton compatibility to actually play it which has been solid.
Awful UI, and boring gameplay

However, once its systems begin unfolding, it quickly becomes clear that the game offers an impressive amount of depth beneath its simple presentation. It is the kind of RPG designed for players who enjoy slowly building powerful adventuring parties, managing resources carefully, and losing themselves in long campaigns filled with exploration and strategic planning rather than cinematic storytelling or flashy visuals. The game takes place in a shattered fantasy world where civilization has collapsed under the threat of monsters and dark forces. Players are tasked with rebuilding humanity’s presence by establishing towns, recruiting adventurers, and exploring dangerous dungeons scattered across a procedurally generated world. It is oldfashioned but it also holds the fascination of the old explore and hope to survive times.
