Frantic shooter that might resemble Beat Hazard like experience with Space Invaders gameplay. Game have about 12 tracks which are not very distinctive and have no substance whatsoever. Gameplay part is ok, except it's very chaotic and as you play you gain new buddies to support your firepower which gets overwhelming to be honest. Not a bad game just the music isn't that great and doesn't change much overall. In the meantime Beat Hazard was all about the music where waves of enemies increased with more dynamic parts of the song. Overall game miss a few things to make it great.
18 found this helpful
Hyperspace Invaders II: DX is an arcade-style bullet hell shooter that embraces chaos, rhythm, and relentless intensity. Developed by Entity Medialab and published by Plug In Digital, the game is designed to overwhelm the senses with its fast-paced action, pulsating electronic soundtrack, and visually striking presentation. It takes inspiration from classic vertical shooters but injects its own unique identity through procedural level generation and rhythm-based patterns, ensuring that each session feels unpredictable and alive. From the very first wave of enemies, it is clear that the game is not interested in easing players into its world; it throws them directly into a barrage of bullets and hypnotic beats. The central loop of Hyperspace Invaders II: DX revolves around survival and score-chasing. Enemies appear in large numbers, often synced with the rhythm of the music, and unleash bullet patterns that require both quick reflexes and pattern recognition. Unlike more scripted shooters, the game leans on procedurally generated waves, which keeps encounters fresh but also makes the difficulty curve feel volatile at times. The adaptive difficulty system ensures that as players imp…2 found this helpful

Ye gawds, my poor mortal eyes. Okay, so you move all around the screen and crank up your score multiplier without touching enemy fire or ramming a baddie. You gain some powerups and there are several different "ships" to pick from with varying shot types. So, I am terribly fond of "shooters"(I'm antediluvian, so I call the other games "FPS's"), even though I suck at them. I like to think I'm somewhat forgiving of the genre, yet I can't recommend this one. Is this terrible? Nope. Controls well enough and the premise is simple. What, then? I have no photosensitivity(prior to this, anyway)and was still feeling bombarded by visual artillery. Flashing lights and kabooms galore! It becomes distracting neon vomit at a certain point. Too much will start piling up and good luck keeping track of what is enemy fire, a baddie, and a powerup. The much vaunted music did nothing for me. It's simply there. Perhaps the most surprising part to me was even though so much is happening, the levels feel a bit slow to progress and go on too long. There was a balancing act here, and they biffed it. Ultimately, this is mildly disappointing. If ya gotta try every shooter once, then you won't feel a …1 found this helpful
Intensely annoying ear-bleeding sounds. Visuals that will give you a headache. Temp powerups. All you do is move left and right through far too long and repepitive levels.
No idea what was going on at all! Not good which is a shame.
