Instant Death is a brutally focused reflex challenge that strips gameplay down to its most unforgiving essentials. Developed by Tayfun Zeytun and published by My Way Games, the title makes its philosophy clear immediately: survival depends entirely on flawless execution, and even the smallest mistake results in instant failure. There are no health bars, no safety nets, and no narrative framing to soften the experience. What you get instead is a pure test of timing, movement, and mental endurance that feels intentionally designed to push players to their limits. At the core of Instant Death is a simple rule that governs everything you do—touch anything marked as deadly, and the run is over. This minimalist concept sounds almost trivial on paper, but the game quickly reveals how deceptive that simplicity is. Levels are constructed as tightly tuned obstacle courses that demand constant forward motion, precise jumps, and split-second decisions. Because there are no checkpoints, every attempt becomes an all-or-nothing run, forcing players to internalize layouts and patterns through repetition. Each failure teaches something new, whether it’s a mistimed jump, a moment of hesitation, or …

Oh where to start. TL;DR: Bad Game Design, it's purposefully made to induce rage! This game is not difficult at all but it seems like the developer went out of their way to make it difficult even if the player is doing everything right. Here are some things I feel is just put there to frustrate/induce rage in the player: - the colors blend in too much so it's difficult to see where you character is standing, where platforms you're supposed to jump on (or avoid) start and end. too much bloom and there is no option to change that in the settings menu - speaking of the menu, oh my god. one of the most atrocious things I've seen to be honest. it's basically useless! there isn't an option to change anything like FOV or color correction etc. - it lags when going through the graphics options even though there clearly is an apply button which indicates nothing will change unless clicked on that, but doing anything somehow lags like hell. - nothing can be changed while in the game/level, you have to exit to the main menu and then you can change stuff, and by doing so you "willingly" forfeit your progress in the current level. - what stuff exactly can you change though? there are 3 things …

I'm a big fan of 3D platformers, but this one is just boring. It's too difficult, and that takes away some of the fun.

The game instantly tests your patience – you either learn or die endlessly. The dynamics are frenzied, the jumps require jewelry precision, and each level is a test of the nervous system. Honestly, when you manage to get through a particularly difficult moment, you almost feel like a god. But sometimes the controls seem a little less responsive than we would like, especially during tense moments. And these moments when you're literally dying a pixel away from success... infuriating, but in a good way. As a fan of challenging platformers, I appreciated it. But, to be honest, sometimes it seems that the game is more pleased with my failures than I am with my victories.
