About Ira
Embrace the Beauty of Bullet Hell!
High up in the heavens, the ancient crystal known as Ira maintains the peace of an entire world... until a mysterious figure shatters the crystal, allowing Chaos to return. As malevolent creatures suddenly appear across the land, a young girl is chosen by an ancient god to collect the fragments of Ira and restore order, assisted by the apostles who once served Ira’s creator.

Find the Remnants of Ira and Save the World!
A character-based shooter with roguelike elements, IRA celebrates the artistry of what shooter fans call “bullet hell”: enemy projectiles that weave intricate, geometric patterns across the screen and force you to seek out the precarious safe spaces between them. Set in an Eastern-influenced fantasy world marked by ethereal beauty as well as grave danger, it’s a procedurally generated action game that requires skill, inspires strategy and rewards patience.

FEATURES
• Shoot arrows from 166 different bows
• Choose three special “perks” (power-ups) each time you level up
• 150 unique relics (passive buff items)
• 43 different synergies from bow + relic combinations
• 5 different Apostles that can be conjured for special ultimate skills and passive perks
• Procedurally generated maps across more than six different stages
• Boss battles with exceptionally devious projectile patterns
Just saying, but I do have a curator page. If you somehow like my remarks about games, you can find more of them here: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/44130985-TDP%27s-Gaming-Escapades
Take a good look at the reviews on this game's store page. See something that about 98% of them have in common? Yeah, few people have actually reviewed the post early access version of Ira, so new players don't know what the hell they are dealing with right now. That is what brought me to finally play this game, clear it from my backlog and write a review for it. Please do note that the review was written after multiple runs over about 4 hours of playtime, and not after finishing the game. You'll understand why as you read the review.
Positive first impressions
My initial experience with Ira was positive; enough to make me want to come back and play it more as soon as possible, which rarely happens in my case. The sprite-based, 2D graphics of the game looks really good and the design of some emblems/icons looks great. The soundtrack is always pleasant to listen to, with the music for area 2 and the menu being my favorites among all of them. The gameplay was also very…14 found this helpful
Ira is a solid game for its genre and i got it on a big sale so i was taken aback by the non-discounted price. This game is definitely not a $20 game. i got it for $4 and it feels closer to that when compared to similar games in this genre that are similarly priced. The game feels polished. It's solid. and very precise when played on mouse and keyboard. I initially tried it on controller and having to aim in twin stick games is a pain on controller. The soundtrack is solid and the gameplay is fun. It's structure/level design is similar to Children of Morta. you basically traverse a dungeon made up of different rooms. your primary weapon is a bow and arrow. you can get different variations of this weapon but i've also found a kitana and a melee version of the bow as well. As you can see, at the time of writing this review, my hours are just over 2. and i've completed the game. I thought it was broken up into acts or higher difficulties but as far as I can tell, once you beat the game, that's the whole experience. the only difference are the other weapons and other companions. I didn't even unlock any of the other companions because the first one is fine. Normally, with these kin…1 found this helpful
I like the design, unfortunately roguelike isn't my preference, it doesn't mean that it deserves a negative rating. It's very smoothly playable and fair (you know what you're dying from). But if there was an easier mode like an "enjoy the atmosphere"-mode, like checkpoints on completed zones, then it would probably be something for a wider audience!1 found this helpful

IRA is an action-packed roguelike shooter developed by ABShot and published by Nicalis, Inc., combining the fast reflexes of bullet-hell combat with the long-term progression systems commonly found in modern roguelikes. Rather than focusing exclusively on survival against overwhelming waves of projectiles, the game introduces a cast of playable characters, each with their own strengths, weapons, and special abilities. This design choice adds variety to every playthrough and gives the game a stronger identity than many titles within the same genre. The result is an experience that rewards both quick reactions and thoughtful planning. The foundation of IRA revolves around repeated runs through dangerous environments filled with enemies, upgrades, and opportunities for growth. Each journey is procedurally generated, ensuring that no two attempts unfold exactly the same way. The placement of enemies, available equipment, and collectible items changes from run to run, creating a constant sense of unpredictability. This structure encourages experimentation and adaptability, as players must make the most of whatever resources they discover during a particular attempt. The random nature o…
Good, but could be a great game, if not for balancing issues and game-breaking bugs. Q: Would I recommend? A: Yes, but on a discount. [+] 1) Beautiful art style 2) Nice soundtrack 3) Good story 4) Large variety of weapons and skills [-] 1) Unbalanced 2) Highly random 3) Cannot save during a run The run is too long, the should be a saving function. If you decide to stop playing for some reason (need to go, or whatever), you have to abandon the run and lose all the progress. If you encounter a game-breaking bug, you have to start again, too. This could be easily solved by allowing to save. 4) Game=breaking bugs There are some bugs, that stop you from shooting the bow and you have no choice, but to restart... Do NOT pick up "Sudden Focus", this skill is definitely bugged. The character will not be able to shoot! 5) Hard to align the character to activate things 6) Not fluid animations (both character's and weapon's) Conclusion: 6/10
