About Lunacid - Tears of the Moon
Lunacid: Tears of the Moon is a First Person Dungeon Crawler made with the Sword of Moonlight - King’s Field making tool from 2000. Explore various dungeons for powerful weapons and spells to forestall the previsioned end of the world.

The Kingdom of Lyria rests in darkness, surrounded on all sides by the vast poison sea. In ages long past, brilliant silver moonlight fell upon Lyria, leading to its accession as a great kingdom of magic. But this time of solace may soon end.

Calamis Cerulean was granted a vision of this macabre future, the Great Old One who sleeps beneath the earth will soon awaken from it's slumber and plunge the world into another dark age. He must venture into dangerous lands to gather magics of light and dark. Only then can he coax the silver moonlight to fall upon the Great Old One and lull it back into a deep sleep.

Definitely give it a try, it's free! Old-school game so expect a bit of old-school jank but overall great artstyle, big fan of the soundtrack, adequate story with a bit of a twist at the end and nice enough combat with equipment and enemy variety. Comes with a manual for that full retro experience so give that a read as well.
Really beautiful artstyle and design. Interesting experience if i could play this game and dont just walk around a small area, i couldn´t even interact with anything. The controls are really bad, "arrow keys" to move and look around, "del" to look down and "page down" to look up, "shift" to melee and "control" to use magic ranged. Maybe its better if you use a gamepad to play it.

Free. Obviously tons more like Kings Field. I love the extra equipment elements, honestly wish Lunacid had that - maybe the sequel will lol. Or whatever Kuma does next! Super fun, now go play Lunacid and the KF games! (after playing this, its free ffs)
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ what a dog water experience that 5 minutes was...right as the game boots it would make my AMD adrenaline notification or the HDR notification become super huge on my screen like half the size of my monitor, and the game would flash like a old CRT that has bad cables...I thought my GPU was going to ♥♥♥♥, I deleted the game and redownloaded, booted it like 5 separate times, every try was the same ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Twice I was actually able to "click any button to start" and it went on some unskippable dialogue that was loud as all hell, that also just continued to flash and give me a headache, even trying to ALT f4 would just cause my steam to become like PiP sized in the top left of my screen and I was forced to restart to get ♥♥♥♥ back to normal... maybe the game is fun, but I never got to actually play it. Ive played hundreds of games on steam old and new and never had something work as ♥♥♥♥♥♥ as that did, I would rather complete black screen or no boot at all than whatever the ♥♥♥♥ that unoptimized piece of ♥♥♥♥ was. Pissed me off enough to type out my experience though because I actually wanted to try this game, fix your ♥♥♥♥.
The game is exactly what it says it is, and I was not disappointed. Would recommend taking time to learn how combat works at the start of the game.
