MarineVerse Sailing Club is the closest I’ve come to feeling salt on my face without actually tasting it. This isn’t just a sailing game. It’s a wind-powered passport. You can race a whole fleet of beautifully modeled boats, each with its own temperament. Some feel eager and twitchy, darting at every gust. Others are steady bluewater beasts that reward patience and trim discipline. You’re not just steering, you’re reading wind shifts, playing angles, managing sail shape. When you nail a tack and surge ahead on a lift, it feels earned. The learning curve is real, but so is the satisfaction. Then there’s Global Sailing mode, and that’s where things turn quietly magical. You can sail in real time, with real-world weather and ocean currents. If a front is sweeping across the Atlantic in reality, you’ll feel its personality in-game. Trade winds, calms, shifting pressure systems, currents nudging your hull off course. It becomes less of a “session” and more of a voyage. You’re not just clicking through scenery. You’re navigating a living system. And night sailing… that’s where MarineVerse becomes poetry. The ocean swells roll beneath you like slow breathing. The moon lays a silver …

They need to remake this... no open world movement it's a point and jump. It feels like its a 30 year old arcade game and not in a good way. Moreover you have to sigh up just to use everything in game. I would Love a real sailing game that teaches people how to sail in RL.

A very promising game. There's something for everyone (daily races, multi-players races, free sailling, sailling lessons). Globe is still missing something, like waypoints for offline navigation for instance or multiple boats class to sail. But it have a lot of potential and can be a new Sailaway II of its kind. Devs are really reactive with strong communication.

Very immersive. I especially like the racing yacht in VR.

Finally, a sailing game that respects the wind. The VR support is phenomenal, offering a true first-person perspective that demands real-world situational awareness. I’ve used this to practice tacking scenarios and VMG optimization that I’ve since applied to my actual sailing. Whether you are using a headset for full immersion or just relaxing on a flat screen, this is the most authentic simulator I’ve found.
